Advantages: Superb sound quality and easy to use Disadvantages: Missed call and sim card transfer needs improvement
...have. The base units are finished in a high gloss black finish likewise the handsets themselves.
What is very well thought out is the design of the handset. Whilst the high gloss finish does look very elegant, it is a proverbial pain in the rear to keep clean as it shows up finger marks very easily. On this handset however, Philips have used a high gloss finish on the sides but kept the front of the unit (the bit that comes into contact with you) a matt finish dramatically reducing the need for constant cleaning. A nice little touch inside the box is the inclusion of two large spectacle type cleaning cloths to keep your phone looking its optimum.

Advantages: Neat and easy to use Disadvantages: None
...The old answer phone is dead; it has for some time been unreliable but a few days ago the last cassette tape was gobbled up by the machine, wrapping itself round the play heads. Advantages: Reliable, robust, affordable Disadvantages: Not a top of the range model, could be more stylish

Look
The C12 standardly comes in a matt black finish. Admittedly it's not the most stylish of phones, but it's not that bad either. Perhaps the worst feature looks wise is the aerial, which sticks out a good inch over the top of the phone. (Not that uncommon when these phones first came out on the market, but certainly nowadays there are options without such an obvious aerial.)
Size
The dimensions are (in approx inches) 5 x 1 x 1 which are rather bigger than some of the more modern options on offer from other manufacturers such as Nokia, but the C12 does fit in a small handbag or your jeans pocket (unless they are skin tight, in which case realistically what phone would fit?)
Weight
The C12 weighs...
