Manufacturer's product description

The total picture performance of the new PXG10 is simply breathtaking. With 2200 ANSI lumens, it is more than twice as bright as its predecessor, thanks to a new 150W UHP lamp, and LCD panels equipped with micro-lenses. And with this much power you don't have to worry about the traditional problem of distortion from daylight. You can even present in glaring sunlight - an important benefit in larger rooms where the light cannot always be blocked out completely. This increase in power though, has not been at the expense of reliability. The UHP lamp has a useable life of 2, 000hrs, and the projector's durable design and robust construction, backed by the Philips free worldwide support package, guarantees you trouble-free ownership. Another major advantage of the PXG10 is its highly advanced compatibility, which enables you to use any video or data source up to CAD/CAM level to enhance your presentation. It is also tremendously versatile, thanks to the digital keystone correction feature, which enables you to set it up virtually anywhere in the presentation room, and still enjoy the same high image quality. This is enhanced still further with a choice of optional zoom lenses, which can be easily and quickly changed by the presenter before a presentation. And once in position, it is remarkably easy to set up and run your presentation, because of features such as auto-imaging, simple plug-in connections, and motorised lens adjustment. Yet more examples of the power and versatility that has made the ProScreen PXG10 the first choice of the professional.

A poor Philips monitor (revised review)
Review of Philips 170C5BS by  EVIT

Advantages: great colour quality, efficient customer assistance by philips
Disadvantages: they all have a faulty power supply (read my story)

...I thought this review needed some more info in order to be more helpful for the readers/buyers. REVISED REVIEW I want to start this review with a strong suggestion: to avoid this philips monitor model (170C5BS). I had lots of trouble with it and they only ended because it was finally replaced with a different model. I let you read my experience which I hope will help you to have an opinion about it. FIRST OF ALL SOME PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS: 12ms response time (On-Off) SXGA, 1280 x 1024 resolution sRGB ready TCO '03 compliance Lower power consumption (so low that had problems with it, read on...) Embedded power supply (meaning that if it's faulty or has problems you have to send back the whole monitor and this is what happened) Smart... Read review

Philips Router
Review of Philips Wireless Router SNB5600 - wireless router by  UrbanKaos

Advantages: Ease of installation
Disadvantages: Poor authentication options, downloads fail.

...Bought this product from PC World, and when I opened the box I was initially impressed by its sleek looks and good build quality. However for the price there are a few drawbacks; my main gripe is that it only supports WEP or WPA 2. So not very backward compatible with versions of XP SP2 or below and many 3rd party wireless apps struggle to authenticate to the router. Secondly downloads really seem to struggle on this box more so from IE and Firefox. This is primarily due to the PC and router losing the connection. Thus losing the download and having to start all over again. The philips support site is OK, but the search facility is useless. I had to use Google to find what I was looking for on the philips website. Overall, a nice looking bit of kit, but for more functionality within the same price range go for a Zyxel DSL... Philips 190S7
Review of Philips 190S7FS by  gaycunttom666

Advantages: Great Quality, Suited to almost all uses, Space saving
Disadvantages: Initial retail price

...Overview I have owned this monitor around 6 months, and to be honest had NO intentions to ever purchase it (needed spare monitor, got good deal with pc parts) but it has proved to be a very good piece of equipment. It is a simple 19" TFT from a leading manufacturer with a max resolution of 1280x1024/75hz and 8ms reponse time which is more than adequate. Compatibility It is plug and play compliant within windows, and shipped with a driver cd containing Smartmanage screen adjustment software along with the device drivers. (although both are largely unneccisary) Within Windows XP and Vista ultimate (128mb graphics) the image is clear and crisp with no real setup/configuration required. The monitor has outputs for both DVI and VGA, which means your upgrade ready should you be considering changing systems, whilst maintaining... Read review
