Having been a disposable shaver since my teens and certainly figuring this was a waist of money I decided to try an electric shaver, I had to find one that allowed we shaves though as I don't like just dry shaving.
It irritates my skin and causes fine hairy dust, i see wet shaving as easier and cleaner but this is of course my personal view but I always make a better job wet shaving.
The shaver has a 2 year warranty and comes with a handy travel case, saves you having to protect and enclose it in towels etc if you use it then pack.
The shaver takes an hour to charge and gives you 60 minute performance burst, and in my view this is ample time to shave even for me and my two chins.
A down side to this is the shaver comes only with a 2 pin plug you have to purchase an adapter if you require to use it with a 3 pin plug, they retail between 99p and £4.00 depending where you buy them so its not a great problem.
The shave looks from my point of view trendy and with its stand takes the form of a well used method of charging like and ipod and its dock, this allows you to use the shaver cordless which taking into account you can wet shave is ideal and alot safer.
The head has 3 rotary fine blades and is a work of design art, how they can design a shaver that can pick up with one blade and cut with another is beyond me when you are talking a micro shave system.
This method saves on irritation and gives a fantastic smooth shave wet or dry, the head swivels and in my experience this is ideal because of my double chin, it takes away the angles and stretching of disposable razors just to get a good line to shave.
Being quite robust yet delicate as well this shaver has yet to be proven for me, how long the delicate blades will last is an unknown yet it is robust enough to allow wet shaving.
Maybe a clue to the life expectancy is the fact you need to keep on top of the blades with head cleaner of which i got a free container, this is alcohol based cleaner and smell quite nice and is quite a strong cleaner if used correctly.
I use it every other shave and i shave twice a week, although it was quite expensive at £205.99 the shaver will pay for itself over time but this is slowed by the need for maintenance materials such as phillips HQ110 head cleaning spray.
There are good and bad points to this shaver of which in my point of view the good out weigh the bad, for example a smooth shave, less time to shave, the look and the functionality, yet the cost and the maintenance and unknown lasting power of the shaver all detract.
I would recommend the shaver taking the view if it last 3 years that's 312 shaves and good clean shaves at that if i were to price up disposables it would work out a tad cheaper
