I used to have The good old HP 400 series, but unfortunately wire got broken several times and i decided to buy new ones. I picked new HP400-s, cause previous ones were exellent in every way. I have to say im a bit dissapointed with the new ones- older ones were made partly of metal, had plastic/rubber protectors behind leather, had mono wire instead of L and R wires, had volume controller on wire and were completely packable. New HP400 is fully made of plastic (exeption is leather head cover), have much less weight and look much cheaper- in design and materials. But still, compared to similar headphones from other companies, Philips still has pretty good sound for the price (mine cost only 20£), though it seems that Philips is cutting off on quality.
