... One smart thing Philips did was to use fabric wrap over the speakers, instead of the usual sponge-like material - which not only facilitate perspiration and bacteria accumulation, but also wear out pretty fast. The fabric is good looking, resistent and washable (if that's your thing...).

I like to carry my music everywhere, so as the mp3 player choice was sort of easy, I was never quite happy with supplied headphones. So I was continuously in search for the better headphones - sleek, practical and comfortable, while providing good sound. I went through Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic and then I found these babies.
They are the ones I was looking for. So much so that I own 2 pairs, one at home and the other at the office.
First of all, they sound great - very good bass response (for their size of course), crisp sound, very little distorsion if at all. I just love the way Red Hot Chilli Peppers sound with these headphones.
Secondly, they are indeed comfortable. The neckband was a clever invention - whoever came up with it, congrats. The band itself is flexible and the ear hooks are comfortable as well. One smart thing Philips did was to use fabric wrap over the speakers, instead of the usual sponge-like material - which not only facilitate perspiration and bacteria accumulation, but also wear out pretty fast. The fabric is good looking, resistent and washable (if that's your thing...).
Last but not least, they fold in a way that they become really flat, making them easy to fit into any space. I have a pocket on my laptop case that is designed for mobile phones - I can fit both my cell phone and the headphones into it and there is still room for one pen :)
So - all in all, try them on for a change. You might be in for a surprise.
