Advantages: Relatively cheap and robust Disadvantages: Poor picture quality
The PhilipsSPC 200N PC Webcam, I only recommend it as a budget camera!
The Camera's User guide is VERY easy to follow - only two pages of instruction in each of 8 languages! Installation takes minutes.
Camera (about 4X6X8 cm and as light as a feather) plugs into a USB so does not require an extra power supply. It is very robust, but being so light it tends to be dragged to the side by the weight of its own wire!
Flat base so cannot be mounted onto a laptop or speakers. Looks just like the image on the box?
Picture quality is painfully bad, and cannot cope with ANY movement, but most budget webcams are like that?
Microphone not inbuilt but a massive one you have to keep right in front of your moth is included.
Software you can use to take videos with the camera is included in the installation CD, but video quality is ...

Advantages: Cheap, clear images (sometimes) Disadvantages: Bad for picking up light and vice versa
This a great little webcam for those who don't want to splash out a lot of money on the more expensive range which can be found on the market.
This particular webcam comes bundled with its own software, however I do recommend that if you purchase the camera you upgrade the software by downloading it from the labtec website.
This is a nice webcam which is foolproof and easy to install. Within a matter of seconds I had this hooked up to one of my USB ports and XP automatically installed the relevant drivers (however I did install the software beforehand). It works fine with all my applications, in particular windows live messenger where I use it a lot to hold video conversations with friends and family via the use of its built-in microphone which picks up rather well suprisingly. Another good little feature is the photo button ...
