Camera (about 4X6X8 cm and as light as a feather) plugs into a USB so does not require an extra power supply. It is very robust, but being so light it tends to be dragged to the side by the weight of its own wire!

Picture quality is painfully bad, and cannot cope with ANY movement, but most budget webcams are like that…
Microphone not inbuilt but a massive one you have to keep right in front of your moth is included.

Flat base so cannot be mounted onto a laptop or speakers. Looks just like the image on the box…

Software you can use to take videos with the camera is included in the installation CD, but video quality is atrocious. I'd tried making this review as a video review to show you the camera in action but simply gave up because you could hardly see it in a reflection in a mirror.
Taking photos with it is easy - you simply press a button on the side - but again the pictures are full of moiré and of very poor quality.
One good point, it adjusts very quickly to changes in light, and does so automatically. Focusing is also very easy, you just turn a knob around the lens (but you have to do this manually, not automatic).
Works perfectly well with Skype, as long as you sit perfectly still.
