Advantages: Relatively cheap and robust Disadvantages: Poor picture quality
...The PhilipsSPC 200N PC Webcam, I only recommend it as a budget camera!
The Camera's User guide is VERY easy to follow - only two pages of instruction in each of 8 languages! Installation takes minutes.
Camera (about 4X6X8 cm and as light as a feather) plugs into a USB so does not require an extra power supply. It is very robust, but being so light it tends to be dragged to the side by the weight of its own wire!

FIRST OF ALL SOME PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS:
12ms response time (On-Off)
SXGA, 1280 x 1024 resolution
sRGB ready
TCO '03 compliance
Lower power consumption (so low that had problems with it, read on...)
Embedded power supply (meaning that if it's faulty or has problems you have to send back the whole monitor and this is what happened)
Smart...
