Advantages: Relatively cheap and robust Disadvantages: Poor picture quality
The PhilipsSPC 200N PC Webcam, I only recommend it as a budget camera!
The Camera's User guide is VERY easy to follow - only two pages of instruction in each of 8 languages! Installation takes minutes.
Camera (about 4X6X8 cm and as light as a feather) plugs into a USB so does not require an extra power supply. It is very robust, but being so light it tends to be dragged to the side by the weight of its own wire!
Flat base so cannot be mounted onto a laptop or speakers. Looks just like the image on the box?
Picture quality is painfully bad, and cannot cope with ANY movement, but most budget webcams are like that?
Microphone not inbuilt but a massive one you have to keep right in front of your moth is included.
Software you can use to take videos with the camera is included in the installation CD, but video quality is ...
Advantages: Improves profit by reducing business waste Disadvantages: Needs a little application
What is SPC?
Statistical Process Control has been around for many years and was first introduced by Walter Shewhart at the Bell Telephone Laboratories and led to his book, "Economic Control of Quality of Manufactured Product", first published in the early 1930's. Then it was exported to Japan in the 1950's by W. Edwards Deming who initiated wide scale statistical training. The rest is a very successful history.
It is a philosophy that uses statistical techniques in all areas of a company for continuous improvement by reducing variation in all processes by focusing on defect prevention (before it occurs) rather than detection (after the fact inspection).
Essentially a preventive technique for business improvement, it targets process variation thereby reducing waste and any associated costs by process monitoring and control ...
Advantages: Built In Conditioner, quiet, stylish, effective Disadvantages: Bit of a hassle to clean
and colours. The feel of it is very comfortable on the hand and is easy to grip, due to slight ridges around the back of the shaver. This also makes it very comfortable and easy to hold, which i would say is one of the most important factors in something that is to be used daily. Also, obviously, it must be good at its job. Which this shaver is. It did a very good job, and was the closest shave i have ever had. I was previously using a gillette mach 3 razor and shaving foam. The Philips shaver eliminates the need for shaving foam, which i always found an annoyance.
I think that the reason for the closeness is the fact that each of the heads vibrates/girates and moves independantly, meaning that they can move accordingly to each person's individual features. Moving around the jaw bone and cheek bones, means that it gets alot closer to the skin ...
