What would be the use of an external hard drive if you lost all the Data whenever it took a fall? This external hard drive comes in a tough but light aluminium shell. It makes it very robust .

Advantages: EASY EASY install, clean looks, Strength/durability. Disadvantages: None as yet, not even the price wasn't too high !!
...I purchased this external HDD, simply because my computer's internal HDD was full.
All I wanted was more memory somewhere where I could move all my music, and work, quickly retrieve it and be sure that it would be there when I wake up in the morning.
The Philips160GB is perfect , it unobtrusive design goes with just about any computer system, the ease of installation use is phenomenal, plug in the AC adaptor, connect the USB cable provided, pop, and the drive appears in "My Computer" No formatting or anything remotely confusing needed. So if you're not the type to want any hassle with computers, this is for you. I didn't even have to pick up the instructions...
I was quite worried about something like this overheating, but it does come with an aluminium casing, and a cute little in-built fan, to keep it cool. You cannot hear it going...

...Ritek have been making CDR media for several years. In the old days their products had many reliability issues. Nowerdays their products are very reliable, rated to 12x recording, and very cheap. You can buy their products in many disguises. They can be branded as Traxdata, Samsung, Nugen, Discplanet, Mirror, Diamond and probably many more.
Are TDK, Sony, Verbatim and Philips discs better? Hell yes, but if they're are both capable of doing the same job in the short-term, (and most of us only use the discs we burn for the short-term) do you you need to spend twice the money to buy a big brand name?...
