Advantages: Chunky, good to hold, rubber incased for gripping. Disadvantages: Too many flaws - see this review.
...really easy; the brush is smaller than what I am used to and getting around the whole area of my mouth is really easy and quick.
~~ Performance
Regardless of the fact that Philips quotes a 15000 "gentle cleaning movements," or for the normal consumer the amount of times the brush goes around/oscillates, I found the cleaning action of the SensiflexHX1513 shockingly bad. Here's why:
For a start my partner has an Ultrasonex toothbrush and whilst I may well be getting a Sonic brush for my birthday or Christmas from her, I couldn't believe that the Sensiflex couldn't shift the hard to reach tartar between my front bottom set of teeth. After putting the toothbrush on and accompanied by a loud noisy motor of the brush moving around, I followed the instructions of a 2 minute brush time and horizontally placed the brush on my teeth. Advantages: Leaves teeth feeling cleaner than many of its rivals. Two-minute timer to alert you when you've reached the ideal brushing time. Pressure warning which stops you pressing too hard on your teeth and gums. Nice looking! Gentle but effective. Disadvantages: None.
...My previous toothbrush was so effective at viciously ricocheting around my mouth that the gentle method of the PhilipsSensiflex came as quite a surprise. If you're used to harsher, more old-fashioned electric toothbrushes then at first it doesn't seem like it could possibly be doing its job properly, but stick with it and the results speak for themselves. It didn't make my teeth any whiter, but it made them feel cleaner as the brushing process seem to go deeper into them.
The PhilipsSensiflex has a number of useful features, including a timer which alerts you when you've reached the desired two minutes of brushing, and a pressure monitor which warns you if you're pressing too hard on your teeth and gums. The brush is lilac and white and therefore looks pretty good in any bathroom, too! It is comfortable to hold, easy to use...

Ok, this toothbrush certainly is not the new kid or new technology but for the price it is now you cannot go wrong and I will say why that is.

Made by Philips this is the most basic of their rechargeable Sensiflex Toothbrushes as it comes without a timer (others in the range have a system where they automatically switch off after the recommended period of brushing).
