I was looking for a nice pair of 17" monitors and stumbled across the Phillips 107E.
As it's a monitor there's not much to say, but it's main feature (for me anyway) is that the length/depth (distance from front of monitor to the back) is shortest for a 17" monitor. So if space is a concern then this is a good buy.
It has good saturation, brightness, etc.
The On Screen Display(OSD) is easy to use and works well.
Refresh rates are quite good for a monitor of this price range - I'm currently running at 1152x864 at 75Hz, and it's not bad!
Of course there are a few problems. One is that it's not a flat screen so you're gonna have to fiddle with the OSD for every resolution, and even then it's not going to be perfect.
The last problem is the technical support. If you have to return to the manufacturer (i.e. Philips) then if you're in Europe you will probably end up dealing with people in Sweden. Excellent english, accent can be a bit trying. Then again, they paid for UPS to pick my dud one up and bring it back - very good.
As requested here's some extra info (as of 07/05/2003)
i like this review it is great and it has a lot of good things about it.

Hey dude,
nice informative op. If you had added more detial about the product like price and other features it would have gotten a VH. You'll see with Ciao the more detial the more your ops are appreciated.
Excellent first op though...keep them coming. any probs drop me a note in my g/book.
