Advantages: No moving parts so no skipping of tracks Disadvantages: Can't think of any

I needed something that wasn't going to skip and jump when I'm out and about so to test it I jumped up and down like a maniac and jogged heavily on the spot. The player didn't even notice.. just carried on regardless.
The player can access tracks 3 folders deep ... ...Has a wired control, (it says it's remote but since it has to be connected to the player it's not really remote is it). The player itself has a track title and artiste display, it's quite solid and shaped like a suppositary but is much larger and couldn't possibly be mistaken for one. The player has a cradle with a usb socket in it that is connected to a single AAA battery, it attaches snugly and does not look ugly. I suppose you would use this if ... more

The player can access tracks 3 folders deep so that's ideal for ALBUM folders inside an ARTISTE/S folder. Has a wired control, (it says it's remote but since it has to be connected to the player it's not really remote is it). The player itself has a track title and artiste display, it's quite solid and shaped like a suppositary but is much larger and couldn't possibly be mistaken for one. The player has a cradle with a usb socket in it that is connected to a single AAA battery, it attaches snugly and does not look ugly. I suppose you would use this if your internal rechargable battery became exhausted. The players internal battery can be recharged from the USB on your computer.
The disc it comes with contains the drivers and the version I have came with Musicmatch 9. If you don't already have mp3's then you can create them from audio CD's using this software.
Getting tracks onto the player is simplicity in itself. You simply attach your player to an available USB or USB2 port and on Musicmatch (provided on the disc) select the PORTABLE DEVICE option. From there it's academic. (Of course another way to put mp3's on the player is to double click on the players icon in MY COMPUTER, then drag and drop the mp3's into it.).
Advantages: Lightweight, stylish, great value, great sound, fab headphones - this little mp3 ROCKS ! Disadvantages: Can't scroll easily between songs/ albums etc. USB port cover seems a little loose. No carrycase.
I just got this mp3 delivered yesterday. It retails at £119 but Curry's had/have an online sale where you can buy it for £59 - which was great for me as I was thinking of spending about this much for a 128mb. This one is 512mb with 16 hours USB chargeable battery plus extra facility for AA battery if you need longer playtime.
It is small, lightweight and stylish, with good quality earphones and a detachable cord to go around your neck. The controls ... ...The sound is crystal clear.
512mb fits around 260 songs on according to the blurb - I think it's likely to be a few less than that, but I haven't filled it up yet. Music download is fairly fast (5 minute songs downloaded in 1 min).
The only complaints I would have is that the plastic cover for the USB port seems a little loose and crappy plastic compared to the rest of it - however I have solved this by attaching the cover which holds the extra ...

Advantages: Lightweight, discreet, good sound quality and good for carrying data Disadvantages: Earphones fallout no way to edit playlists when on player
...the proud owner of a Philips 512mb for more than twelve months and it is by far the hardest to break player I have come across, I have dropped it on no less than 5 times sometimes onto hard floors and the little player still goes onto to work faultlessly and the sound quality is no less than excellent.
I also use it for carrying data to and fro work and there's nothing easier just drag and drop your files, Windows XP sets it up as an additional ... ...would say the headphones seem to fall out of your ears at the slightest head turn, and there is no way of bringing order to your tracks when they are on the player, and the fact that you can only charge from the USB port but other than that I would highly recommend purchasing! ...

I bought this MP3 player when it was on offer at Curry's & seemed very good value. It's great when I'm jogging on the treadmill & doesn't jump or skip tracks. It is small & either fits in your pocket or goes round your neck on the cord supplied. Just plug it into a USB port to charge it & just drag files onto it to upload music.
One drawback is that the earpieces either fall out too easily or if pushed in a little further, hurt your ears after an ...
