The Philosophy range is not one I have used before, although I have often commented on how nicely packaged, although minimalist (and expensive) their products always appeared. Perhaps part of the attraction was also the clever wording used on all their packaging - their little paragraphs of wisdom relating in some way to the product and it‘s use.
Onto the product then … I have in front of me the box that contains ... ...another place you can find Philosophy products cheaply - currently there are a couple showing.
Pics below - incidentally, I would have included pics of wearing this but getting over a cold - lips not attractive right now to say the least!
Us women are complicated animals aren’t we … ? We want to appear as if we are not wearing a scrap of make up, but we still want to achieve a flawless complexion to anyone close enough to be inspecting … A no make-up look gained through wearing make up cleverly - is it any wonder our men are confused!
I’m a lucky lass me, and was happy to find some facial assistance under our Christmas tree this year from my hubby, in the form of a box of goodies put together by U.S company “Philosophy” which he had purchased via QVC.
Onto the product then … I have in front of me the box that contains this magical tint. It’s unassuming enough, a regular lipstick-sized container with purple fingerprints arranged in the shape of flowers. Written on the box is simply “the supernatural lip & cheek tint” and underneath ’philosophy: natural is super’.
Open this up and you have a matt finish tube with the aforementioned signage - the tube is see-through allowing you an insight to the cherry red liquid formula inside (it does not go on this shade!). The black top unscrews to reveal a wand for ease of application - not unlike a regular gloss wand (see pic) it is a decent size and will not give you the feeling your painting the Forth Bridge!
When you open this up, you will smell how gorgeous the liquid is - it reminds me of raspberries and is quite strong, apparently it’s supposed to taste of pomegranate but as I have never tasted one I can’t give comment! On application to the lips it tastes every inch as good as it smells, although keep licking and the taste does fade.
The effect of Supernatural lip & cheek tint is nothing short of brilliant.
Application to the lips is effortless and the tint allows you plenty of time to cover the lips evenly - and even if you stray from the lip line by accident, you have time to wipe this away before it “sets”. The liquid appears as a red translucent shade - giving a very natural sheer rosebud effect. I find one application of this will see me through at least 3 hours before it wears off - it leaves no horribly obvious line around the edges of your lips either, like a lipstick would do - it just fades out. Eating, drinking and heavens above .. Kissing will not budge this. There is no “tightness” or inflexibility to the lips whilst wearing (I’m thinking Lipcote here …) or any of that gloopiness that you may get from a gloss. It just stains - simple as that.
Applied to cheeks, this is equally impressive. Five or six “smudges” with your wand over the cheek area (I tend to apply only to the apples of my cheeks ie; the fullest part) should suffice. Pat the liquid in using your middle finger - try not to rub, you don’t want to look streaky! The Supernatural liquid will dry quicker on the cheeks, so don’t hang about too long! Straight away you will notice a healthy glow - remember the last time you took a brisk walk in the cold and how flushed your cheeks were? ( or there’s the other ‘pursuit’ which will give much the same effect, but hey - that’s only temporary!). This effect will last all day until you wash it off. Try not to apply too much at once or you will look like Aunt Sally from Wurzel Gummage, which is not what this look is about …
To conclude, I think this is an essential item for any woman’s make-up bag and a sure fire space saver as it multi-tasks. I have even seen suggestion that strippers use this on their nipples believe it or not, for a healthy rosy appearance - now there’s a piece of trivia!
Seriously though, this comes in a 6.5ml tube and averages £13. I received mine as part of a box set as a gift - so prices will vary. QVC sell this on and off on it’s own, but it tends to sell out quickly. Ebay is another place you can find Philosophy products cheaply - currently there are a couple showing.

Advantages: fabulous products, an absolute luxury Disadvantages: bit pricey sometimes, but you're worth it!!

THE AMERICAN PHILOSOPHY
Taken aback by the friendliness of the dark haired woman that spoke to me, i instantly thought oh gosh its someone i know and i have no idea who she is!! Have no fear, my doubts were curbed in the upcoming seconds as she cheerfully asked if i was interested in her assistance...in a soft american voice. Now normally the american accent seems 2 go right through me and ... ...treatment kits directly reflect the Philosophy brand itself, simplicity. The longest home treatment takes 5 minutes i was assured, with good results. The treatment kits range from acne kits to face lifts to hydration to microdelivery peels to shaving kits, and are priced from £36 to £55, which is a cheap alternative to a salon trip, and much less invasive, let alone embarassment free!

Philosophy was created in America by the american medical skincare company Biomedic! The range claims to be cutting edge skincare and no fuss!! Advantages: Smells Absolutely Amazing, A little goes a long way Disadvantages: A bit on the pricey side!
Philosophy Cinnamon Buns is a 3-in-1Conditioning shampoo, bath and shower gel.
Cinnamon buns is a lovely, very rich, thick gel that lathers extremely well so you only need a small amount. It cleans and moisturises really well, but it's best feature is the amazing smell.
It really does smell like warm, freshly baked cinnamon buns! Not a cloying, artificial scent, but a gently sweet, real smell that warms you up on cold days, soothes hangovers and ... ...tag is a bit crazy for a glorified bottle of shampoo, though. I have to admit I save it for when I really need it, and buy from ebay where you can pick it up for £5-£10.
Not keen on Cinnamon? Their Key Lime Pie wash and Amazing Grace body scrub are just as amazing! ...

Advantages: Excellent value for money, doesnt dry the skin, works wonders as a makeup remover Disadvantages: None
The Philosophyrange of products are an amazing revelation for the world of health and beauty. The purity cleanser does exactly as it states in the name; creates pure, clean revitalised skin.
The cleanser removes the toughest of make up and makes skin tingly with cleaness after use. Even when used on its own, without the rest of the Philosophyrange the cleanser helps calm down problem skin and is gentle enough to use on the most sensitive of skin.
After using this product I was amazed to see how much dirt naturally collects on the skin throughout the day and I was extremely impressed at how moisturised my skin felt after use. Normally the cleansers that remove heavy make-up leave the skin feeling dry and tight, however, Purity left my skin feeling wonderfully clean and fresh but still soft and supple.
The best thing about this ...
Advantages: Especially formulated for mature skin Disadvantages: None at all
Dove has become a favourite word for women to use, I feel that Unilever have gone from strength to strength with their range of Dove products. Not only do the Dove products regularly come into the stores offered at affordable prices but Dove also cater for all ages.
Dove have chosen to use a rich maroon coloured packaging for their Pro-Age range, the colour is elegant, sophisticated and does stand out when you are searching for a particular product from that range.
The 500ml bottle costs around £2 and the beauty bath does go a long way. I love the philosophy behind the range, Dove pledge to make a true difference not only for today but for tomorrow too.
This is forward thinking, Dove realise that how we treat our skin now makes a big difference to our skin in the future.

skin, but actually by the cleansing process itself. If the cleansing part is right, then you don't need to spend more on the rest of your skincare routine, nor follow up on heavy makeup to cover up breakouts caused by the skincare.
This is definitely an all in one cleanser that I would recommend as you can slot this one product into your skincare routine without having to also buy the rest of the products in the Philosophyrange. ...
