TrueCall - Banish unwanted sales and cold calls....when it works!

Advantages: TrueCall does what it says, it reduces / stops unwanted phone calls, relatively easy to use
Disadvantages: Price vs Reliability, Overbright Blue LED, Expensive SD Card, My unit failed within a month!

...may be interested in the TrueCall product. You may have seen TrueCall on Dragons Den some months ago as it grabbed the attention of the Dragons on TV. This neat, compact little unit fits between your telephone line and Wired / Cordless household phone and effectively acts as filter / screen for unwanted calls. I will at this stage also point out that my unit permanently malfunctioned within the first month of connection due entirely to a software ...
...white list, refered to in truecall circles as a 'Star List' and is basically a list of numbers which you want to allow through to your telephone(s) with no intervention or screening from the TrueCall unit. These can of course be the numbers of friends and family and anybody else whose calls you are always ready to accept at any time. Secondly, there is a 'black list', or according the Truecall a creatively named 'Zap List' - these are another list ...

Makes long conversations easy.

Advantages: ease of use, very durable and minimalist. Very little clutter
Disadvantages: The battery does need an overnight charge

I have used one of these headsets at work for about a year now and once fully charged it has made my teleconfernces and long conversations very easy. I can now move around my office freely even to the other side wihch must be 70m at least and not lose a drop of clarity. Battery time is good and can last up to 4 hours. Its comfortable and light and comes with several fittings so you can settle on what feels comfortable. I would say if you get involved ...
...price its excellent value for money and will makeyour daily office life so much easier. I would advise buying the lifter too as it really does complete the package and stops you having to lift the handset manually everytime a call comes in and just leaving you to push a button on your earpice to take a call. Great piece of kit. 5 stars. ...

Advantages: Inexpensive, adequate corded headset allowing hands-free telephone use
Disadvantages: Mediocre sound reproduction, becomes uncomfortable after a period of time

...place of work, with a BT Accord 10 headset – an entry level, inexpensive (BT sell it for £37.21 including VAT in their online shop; you can probably get it cheaper elsewhere) corded headset. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Specifications – the technical nitty gritty ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a ‘monoaural’ (using only one ear to you and me) headset, with a flexible stalk leading to the microphone. ...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have used the BT Converse 10 with two phone systems now. In both cases, I simply plugged the headset into the spare hand/headset socket, and off I went (both phones have an integral headset button, allowing you to switch between hand and headset). It’s easy to use. It is not uncomfortable, however, it is not as comfortable as the more expensive and professional Plantronics handsets. I do miss having a ...

A study in contrasts...

Advantages: Great battery life. Very customizable.
Disadvantages: Mute function. Bad noise cancelling.

When this headset arivved I was excited. I was really looking forward to being able to walk around while I talk to my clients. There are a number of positive and a few negative qualitys. First is the wireless design. This couldn't be better. I love the range and the power the antenna has. The major wireless unit before this one had a remote and carrying it around was a major hassle. Second is the battery life. This is great as well. I can talk all ...
...love the range of settings to choose from. This unit has the loudest max I've ever heard. Now for the flipside. The unit takes a very long time to charge fully. I use it for three hours and it takes over an hour to recharge. The unit has only one way to mute, this is probably the most annoying aspect of the design. A small button one the bottom of one side of the unit is pushed to mute. After that the unit beeps every few seconds and there's no way ...

Ground Control To Major Tom ...

Advantages: hands free working, clear voices, very good sound quality
Disadvantages: headset hurting after wearing it a few hours, 'tied' to the desk

...I was given was the GN Netcom 2200 Mono. When I opened the box it was pretty much unused. What I found was the following: 1x headset 1x instruction booklet in a number of languages 1x storage bag 1x replacement spongy thing for earpiece The headset itself comes with a microphone part that can be swivelled to adjust to left and right hand (ear) use. The microphone, on a stalk, can be adjusted up or down to sit in the correct position from your mouth. ...
...or right ear. While there are many newer and more modern sets out there that use wireless technology or receivers like Bluetooth headsets, the one I have has one earpiece (mono reception) and an adjustable headband with T-bar support that sits on the opposite side where you would normally find a second receiver. How does it all work? There is no big secret how a headset works with a telephone system. All I needed to do was clip the cable into ...
