Orange Insurance - Brilliant
Advantages: Everything Disadvantages: The £15 "admin" fee
...my contract phones covered with Orange insurance for 3 years and in that space of time i had 2 phones replaced. 1 stolen, 1 damaged.
On the occasion that my phone was stolen i had to pay a £15 admin fee which was probably the only pain with this cover. But on the 2nd occasion because the phone was damaged through no fault of my own they didn't ask this of me. The claim took about 10mins & once i'd given over all the information I always had my new ... ...month on top of my bill. I wanted a Nokia N96 and Orange were charging alot. So I got my upgrade via carphone warehouse, which means I can't take advantage of Orange Insurance and Carphone were asking for £14 a month for insurance so i haven't bothered this time. ...

Lifeline Complete Insurance...
Advantages: New handset after half your contract has elapsed Disadvantages: you have to pay an excess and give back your old handset
I think lifeline insurance is brilliant, i have the complete policy, because i seem to brake handsets very easily! I think this is very reasonable if your like me and dont like keeping the same handset for too long you can change your handset after 9 months on an 18 month contract and 6 months on a 12 month contract, so this means you can get all the good offers on a 18 month contract and change it after 9 months and still get all the extra minutes ... ...though... you have to give back your old handset in working order so you dont get to sell it off and you have to start a complete new contract including a new number so you have to inform all your contacts about your new number! and also you have to pay an excess when you start your new contract.
but overall i think this is all worth it and a great deal! ...

Not worth one * Do not be fooled!
Advantages: cheap but will not protect you well !!!!! Disadvantages: waste of money! No protection!
...everyone i possible can about CUSC FONEGUARD company claiming they are insuring you for : * Breakdown * Damage * Stolen * Water damage * Loss * Unauthorised calls Do NOT be fooled like me! Paid my insurance for over 2 Years and never claimed anything. Last week i was a victim (i was picked pocketed) on the public transport and my blackberry curve was gone. The police treated me like like i was potential LIER who comes there every week claiming that ... ...phone was lost. Even though CUSC addvertise to protect our phones for loss they didnt accept my claim. I was so upset and I called the insurance company to cancel my insurance but i was told that i need to write them a letter and explain why i would like to cancel. For all the years i had paid i would get myself new phone straight away i have to do it anyway. i just would like to know if anyone else had the same experiance and how it ended. Is there ...

You get what you pay for!
Advantages: Slightly cheaper than average. Disadvantages: Very poor customer services. Slow and incompetent repair service.
Slightly cheaper than average.
Not a "Replacement as New" policy. Meaning they will try to fix your damaged phone or replace it with a second hand model rather than just give you a new one as most other insurers do at the same price.
They do not pay for couriers as most other insurers do at the same price. Instead they rely on the Royal Mail and YOU have to pay for postage.
Customer services are unprofessional, rude ... ...to their customers)!
Customer services do not reply to all incoming emails from customers.
If an accidental damage claim is made they will ask you to send your phone to the "Fone Clinic" with a promise of repair or replacement within 48hrs. In my case it took 2 weeks.
The "Fone Clinic" seemingly have zero quality standards. Anyone who played with Lego as a child would probably be better off fixing their phone themselves rather ...
