Why I'd never use Tesco Photo again

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: won't get your prints without major hassle

...exhibition, and decided to use Tesco Photo for my prints, as I've used them before, and was happy with their quality. The exhibition was to be on the 28th of October, and so about a month before the exhibition I placed my first order for prints, and waited for delivery. A week later I was told one of the files uploaded was corrupted, and so they cancelled the entire order. Fortunately I'd given myself a month to get the prints done for exactly this ...
...so hours of calls to Tesco Customer support, who were occasionally rude and often unhelpful I finally managed to find someone who said they'd look into it. His advice was to reupload all the images, which I did. I then placed another order, split in two this time, figuring I could at least get some of the images. A week later, on the 21st of October, half the photos arrived. I called to ask about the whereabouts of the others, and was told 'they'd ...

Free digital prints!

Advantages: Free!
Disadvantages: Only 40 :(

Boots photo processing is a digital print service that has a familiar name behind it, its not the cheapest digital processor online but its extremely reliable and has many useful features that help to get the best quality possible with as little trouble as possible. I don't use their service unless there is a deal on (I am a student and I am tight) at the moment they have a great deal… read on! I put this on here as I have used this service twice ...
...moment they offer 40 digital print posted to your address for a 1.50 delivery charge (and free photos :p). Basically sign up an account pick 40 pictures you want a copy of, upload them and then pay 1.50! That's it, wait 7 days and they will be with you :D posted straight to your door in a secure envelope. I like this service as you don't need to leave your house, you can edit your pictures online on their site or before you upload them AND you ...

Pixie photos - hidden effects and overpriced

Advantages: good photographer, good deals with free photos
Disadvantages: overpriced, bad customer service, no price list available, not available on CD

i went to pixie photos permanent studio in mothercare world at team valley retail park, gateshead. I had purchased the VIP card before going as it seemed like a good deal a free 10x12 photo plus 10% off any other photos i purchased. The photographer took the free photo first, which took about 10mins to get a decent shot as my son is only 2 months old. I was happy with that shot and we went on to hte rest of the shoot. Once the shoot was over, we ...
...and sort them out. I went to view the photos and asked the price, the package was 750 quid, so i deleted some of the worst photos to get the price down, all the photos were also at size 10 x12, i asked the woman if they did any smaller sizes, which she said they did 8x10 so i got her to resize all the photos to this size, the price came down to 550 quid which was still more than i was willing to pay. There were 3 photos which were big a 16 x 20 a ...

Jessops - Poor service

Advantages: None that i am aware of
Disadvantages: Totally uninterested staff, effectively called me a liar.

Fuji camera brought only six weeks ago as a retirement present became defective so after finding receipt I took it back to the store in Trafford Centre. Sales assistant said that I must have dropped it and refused point blank to replace it. When I persisted he said that it was my fault and that he could send it back to Fuji for repair but it would cost almost as much as a new one. The camera has not been dropped or knocked and has only been used ...

Photobox - Perfect for personal gifts

Advantages: personalisation, good customer service
Disadvantages: none

I use Photobox regualrly throughout the year (but granted, mostly before christmas). It's great for creating really personal presents for all different types of people. I use it to create calenders as xmas presents, and also to make photo-books after special occasions such as christenings, weddings, birthday parties etc. I've orderd arounf 12 times and only ever had one issue. A book came with a missing page. when i spoke to photobox they sent a ...
...gave the new one away and kept the missing page one for myself - bonus! i'd recommend this site for all types of web users as its relatively easy to use. Plus, it stores your pictures indefinately, which is fantastic in case you ever loose your camera or memory card! The prices are reasonable and the print quality/paper quality is better than most shop bought products. ...
