Advantages: Everything Is Included.
Disadvantages: This book is very heavy, could give you a strained back. Honest
...golden compendium of in depth physics knowledge. It takes you from an all round understanding to a ground understanding of degree standard physics. It should stand as the foundation of any person who is studying Physics or even Engineering at university.
Just to clarify on realrobwriters review which was very much spot on… The Scope of the book is as follows.
1. Mechanics
Motion in one dimension
Motion in two or three dimensions
Newton’s Laws
... ...a branch of 1st yr physics that is not covered by this book. P.Tipler feeds you the information you need at 1st yr level slowly and very often refers to previous chapters. Every chapter is placed in its logical position and this is what makes it such a joy to pick up.
This book is amazing, there’s no other way to describe it. Especially at its low price, It used to cost £70. BARGAIN!

There was plans to releases a CD-ROM with one edition, so this may appear in the future, but ... ...the status of being the Physics Bible, which makes the writer Tipler a god like figure amongst us Physics students. Despite one student thinking that our lecture was Tipler in disguise, the guy who actually wrote this book lives in Berkley, California, is a physics lecturer and a seemingly clever guy. Finally, on to the book itself. I like it. As textbooks go it's a good one, a book you can really use to learn things, and to help you revise. Too ...
