A 250ml bottle cost me £2.70 from the local branch of Boots, although no doubt it can be purchased cheaper elsewhere. Additional comment 12/8/2004, Physio Sport showergel is currently BOGOF (buy one get one free) at Tesco's for £1.98 per bottle.

Physio Sport comes out of the bottle as a quite thick and viscose clear gel. Unlike some shower gels it doesn't try to escape from your wet hands at the first opportunity, although as with all soap / water combinations I wouldn't like to test this theory for too long. It has a rather pleasant citrus aroma to it, quite lemony in fact.
Anyway, on with the shower!
Following a few recent rather cruel and barbed jibes from Mrs Scampi about my waistline - "You fat git" and "When's the baby due?" being two examples, I decided to do something about it. Plea's that my waist measurement is the same as it was when we married twelve years ago fell on deaf ears. So I decided on a course of exercise which included a visit to the gym and some swimming.

APPEARANCE
Physio Sport shower gel comes in a turquoise / green bottle with an orange neck band. The bottle is about 6 inches (150mm) high and some 2 inches (50mm) wide, so it fits nicely in the hand. It also has the Olympic rings logo on the front as it's been approved by the International Olympic Committee Medical Commission - ooooohhh!
OPENING / EASE OF USE
The bottle is opened very easily. The top is simply twisted anti-clockwise through 180 degrees and then tipped upside down and squeezed to release the contents. There's even directional arrows on the top indicated with a + for opening and a - for closing. The beauty of this system is, that the contents can't seep out through gravity as the bottle needs to be squeezed first - so no wastage and gungey mess around the shower cubicle.

THE SHOWERING EXPERIENCE
A reasonable sized dollop on the hand, about the size of 2 Rolo's (damn! maybe that's why my waistline is expanding - I've got Rolo's on the brain) quickly lathers up when applied to the skin. It leaves a thin wispy lather all over the body and if anything the citrus aroma becomes more apparent with the addition of water. You can get a thicker lather if you use one of those shower puff thingy's, but I'd never own up to that! My skin did get a mild tingling sensation from the gel which dissipated after rinsing. Physio Sport rinses off quite easily and before I knew it the shower was over - just when it was getting hot and steamy too!
THE AFTER SHOWER EXPERIENCE
After drying off and hanging my towel back up ON THE RAIL, NOT THE FLOOR (I'm a good boy really you know) my skin did actually feel invigorated and refreshed. So Physio Sport had actually done what it said on the bottle , as it claims:-
"An invigorating hair and body wash. Contains Arginine, a natural extract of Aloe Vera, to help add back the moisture and amino acids stripped out by exercise..."
Moreover, my skin had a pleasant, but not overbearing, smell to it which lasted for several hours post shower. One minor bugbear was that although my skin in general felt moisturised, I do have a couple of dry patches and the shower gel had, if anything, dried them out slightly. I'm not sure why, but it had.
A couple of other reviews I'd read about this product suggested that it isn't so good for washing your hair with. This isn't an issue for me as me and my hair divorced several years ago, so I can neither confirm nor deny rumours about it's hair washing prowess.
OTHER STUFF
With regular usage the bottle lasted me just under two weeks or about 17-18 showers, but of course that would vary depending on how much you used per shower.
AND FINALLY...
Overall I've given Physio Sport Shower Gel four stars. It loses a star for price and the further drying of a couple of pre-existing dry patches of skin. I'd certainly use it again though, after exercise or not. Now who wants to wash my back?

...refreshing shower (and bath) experience. Physio Sport is now one of those popular brands amongst the health and beauty sections in supermarkets and the like. So forgive me for being surprised when I found that there were only three opinions written about the product.

Basically it goes a bit like this (insert amusing tune here). The Physio Sport brand is endorsed (well approved) by International Olympic Committee ... ...to say a radio with Physio Sport on it is not my cup of tea.
Well back to the product in hand (quite literally holding onto the bottle!).
I received this as a gift last Christmas (yes it has taken me that long to get through the various health and beauty products I receive). First impressions were that this would probably smell nice going on what I have heard although I was sceptical it would do anything for my hair (even though it is marketed ...

...about a product in the Physio Sport Range, it was a body spray. I thought it was awful, beggars can't be choosers I suppose as it was bought for me one Xmas.
Then lo and behold somebody bought me a shower gel and another body spray last Xmas, I thought I must not be liked!!.
This time though, I noticed it was a different flavour, this being Fresh Blast. I used all my nice shower gels up first then reluctantly tried this one.
First thing I noticed ... ...green plastic which wouldn't smash if I accidentally dropped it in the shower.
The top was ace too, it swivelled round to open and let out the contents, then swivelled the other way to close it up.The only disappointment was, there wasn't anything to hang it up with.
The smell of it was a pleasant surprise, it was rather zesty, and I came out of the shower smelling like a lemon. It was very invigorating too, it left me feeling ready to go.
I don't ...

Advantages: Leaves you smelling fresh Disadvantages: Quite expensive
I first spotted Physio Sport shower gel a few weeks ago in Superdrug. As a frequent user of Physio Sport deodorant roll-ons, I thought this would be worth a try, so popped it in the basket.
As the picture above shows, it comes in a trendy-looking, plastic container. The vibrant colours on the front immediately catch your attention. The one I bought, 'Vital Instinct', has hints of aqua marine, light green, red and yellow, which all lure you into ... ...and not particularly pleasant, but Physio Sport appeals directly to the senses and you cannot fail to like it.
What's more, a little goes a long way. You only need a small amount of the gel to moisterise and smoothen skin, and this lathers into a foam to refresh and cleanse. Personally, I find it particularly gentle on skin, but others may have different reactions, so it is important to disapply use if you do suffer an adverse reaction, as you may ...

PHYSIO SPORT
=================================================================
SMELL:-
==========
Physio Sport hydrate is suitable for men, but my husband and I use it both. Not at the same time though! To me the smell is neutral so works equally well and won't have a man smelling like a woman or a woman smelling like a man and even if it does smell a bit more masculine than some then you can always put perfume on afterwards and you will smell ... ...all the same. The Physio Sport bottle goes to show that wonderful things can come in strange packages. I mean I only need to look at my husband to know that, that's true, lol! I actually really like the bottle, it's shiny and made of plastic, but feels really smooth. It's nice to hold and run your fingers over as it feels very smooth. The bottle shape is also really trendy and sits nicely on our wooden shelf, but it has no hanging loop for the shower ...

I started using this product a few months back after my brother got it as a present and didn’t really want it. It was just sitting in the shower and no one had used it for a couple of weeks so I thought I would give it a go and I was pleasantly surprised and have been using it ever since. There are two things that first grab your attention about the product. The first is the colour of the packaging which is orange and green and is very eye-catching ... ...other thing is the Olympic symbol and the word ‘sport’. Now I am a very sporty person and so is my brother which is probably why the product was bought for him but have never used any kind of sports deodorant or shower gel before but I have to say this is a very good product and doesn’t just sell because of the symbols and name. The product itself is very good and can be used on both hair and body and has a really gorgeous citrus smell and is very ...

the top. This makes the bottle look upside-down.
The gel itself is an aqua marine colour and smells fresh and quite masculine. It does not smell as sweet and fruity as PhysioSportshowergel, which I reviewed quite recently, but is pleasant nonetheless.
Xtreme Sport 'Fresh Blast' also performs as well as any other showergel I have used. It cleanses and moisturises your skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth, and refreshes well too. However, I do not feel it provides long-lasting protection against wetness and odour, even though this is the claim on the packaging.
Like most showergels, Xtreme Sport can be used on body and hair, but as always, be careful to avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, you are advised to rinse thoroughly with water.
As for its gentleness, I personally found it very mild on my skin. Others ...

To be able to use the Olympic Symbol as a sign of recognition from the International Olympic Committee is no mean feat, and it suggests that there must be something special about this series of products.
Seeing as several top sport stars endorse it, and that the Olympic Committee approves it, I thought PhysioSport would be worth a try. Amongst the products I have tried are Anti-Perspirant Spray, ShowerGel and Deo Body Spray, all in three different fragrances.
The product I am writing about today is PhysioSport’s Deo Body Spray. This differs from the Anti-Perspirant, and for easy recognition it comes in a smaller container, a 150 ml can. The Deo Body Spray offers “Long lasting deodorant protection that ensures total freshness and allows your pores to breathe.” It differs from the anti-perspirant in that the anti ...
