Two years ago, my friend in the United States, recommended Phyto Citrus shampoo to me; I had been complaining about my hair looking lifeless and lacklustre. Having all but given up hope of ever having an even remotely shiny mane again, I decided I had nothing to lose trying it. It was worth it!

It has a luxurious and creamy texture and although it is scented, unlike some other shampoos, it is not overpowering and leaves your hair smelling natural and fresh. This particular shampoo has grapefruit extract.

It does not have 'crazed' lathering, as with other brands, rather an understated lather that nonetheless does the job of cleansing very well.

I initially apply it to slightly damp hair and leave it for a few minutes. I then add more water and gently massage the shampoo through my hair and into my scalp. A quick rinse through with warm water and then one more application of shampoo, a final rinse and I'm done.

This is a fantastic product to add sheen to the hair. It is one of my favourites in the Phyto shampoo range and is excellent for helping prolong the condition of colour-treated or permed hair. This shampoo also helps protect the hair from harmful UV rays.

Although it is more expensive than the usual brands available at chemists, you do not have to use a great deal on each wash to get your hair clean.

I was delighted to have it recommended to me and I do not hesitate in recommending it to others. Once you start using either this product, or another from Phyto, you are sure to be tempted to pick out other products from their extensive range. Be sure to browse their conditioners, which are also exceptionally luscious.
