Advantages: Protects and nourishes your hair, leaving an au naturel scent Disadvantages: More expensive than usual drugstore brands
Four words. I love this product!
Although PhytoPlage Veil is listed in the beach range of Phyto products, I find it is fabulous for providing year round protection from damaging UV rays. I use mine every day and it not only protects, it nourishes too.
A lightweight and non-greasy, veil of spray, it contains sweet almond, sunflower extract, white lotus extract and more. The scent is beautiful and is as fresh as a summer breeze.
You can spritz it on your hair after you have styled but I also use it as a stand-alone styling product.
It does not weigh the hair down at all and leaves it feeling silky and sleek. I find it is also useful for taming frizzy hair and although anyone could benefit from using it, I think it could be extremely beneficial for those with coloured, bleached or permed hair.
Despite being more expensive ...
Advantages: Once a day application, brilliant protection Disadvantages: initally expensive, may cause staining
I was recommended this stuff by a friend several years ago. I thought it was a bit expensive, but tried it anyway. I have been using it ever since.
As it only has to be applied once a day, 90 mins before exposure to the sun, it was a simple matter of putting it on, having breakfast and then you are ready for all day sun.
I have used P20 in Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Cyprus and Spain and never once been burnt. I have been swimming & snorkeling and still been protected from sunburn.
We recently sent our 11 yo girl off to France with a bottle of the stuff. She shared it with her friend and applied it themselves. Neither of them got burnt, except for the one occasion when her friend didn't use use it!
This is good stuff, but it comes in at about £24 for 200 ml, £15 for 100ml (shop prices). But as it only needs to be applied once ...
As a redhead, obviously with very pale skin, I burn easily. A friend reccommended I try P20 a few years ago, and I have used nothing else since.
It will stain your clothes if you do not leave the product time to dry, and I have found I do get a heat rash sometimes - only if I apply too much. The trick is only using enough for a light coverage.
I now live on the Gold Coast of Australia, and will not step outside without using P20, I have never burned, and have not found anything else that enables me to be in the sun all day! The only downside I would say is the cost. ...
