An Excellent choice. The Yamaha Piano is the best
Advantages: A bright evenly toned piano for all abilities Disadvantages: Some of the older models do not have the soft close lid
The Yamaha U series of pianos are an excellent choice for the intermediate to advanced player. I am a piano teacher and have recently fallen in love with the Yamaha piano. I am in the process of changing my current piano which I always thought was a very good piano to the Yamaha U3. I have introduced to them through my former piano teacher as he has one himself. What can I say. The tone, the fabulous rich bass and the craftsmanship that comprises ... ...of piano that will last you a lifetime. it features a quiet pedal for practice and some models have a soft close lid (not that I believe that a piano lid should ever be closed). You cant really go wrong with the U3 or any of the Yamaha range. ...

Yamaha P-70
Advantages: Great value, great sound, weighted keys, ease of transport. Disadvantages: None
I own a Yamaha P70. It is a full size electric piano. I bought the proper stand to go with it which is much more safe and secure than the cheaper alternatives. It has 2 Grand Piano, 2 Organs, Vibraphone, Strings and 2 Electric Piano sounds. As a portable musician I can easily take the stand off carry it around and do gigs. The piano itself is quite light. The feel of the keys is excellent, very well weighted and they can stand a right bashing. Much ...

Grand Piano
Advantages: Music is great! Disadvantages: When the piano goes out of tune!
Well, pianos ayyy?!
I love the piano, I have one at home, and Ive been playing for a year now. Not very long, but I'm learning very well, and have learned alot of songs, from pop to classic, to classic to alternative. I also make up my own musical tunes and songs. I dont know what I would do without music! lol.
Music helps me to relax, and unwind after a tiring, stressful day. You see I'm not the type to really read music properly, I haven't learned ... ...hear a song, or tune or whatever, I can almost straight away play it back, with the chords and everything. Quite a talent Ive got there, I know. My music teacher at school has told me how proud she is of my practical skills in piano playing. But she said I do need to improve on the Theory side of music. E.G: scales, bars, time signatures, etc.
She has told me that my piano playing is very good, and I'm virtually the best player in my music class.

IF MUSIC BE THE FOOD OF LOVE, PLAY ON.
Advantages: Craftmanship at a reasonable price. Disadvantages: None.
...extol the virtues of the Yamaha 500S as I have been a proud owner and player of this piano for some time, and feel that it merits a good word.
DIMENSIONS.
This piano is 44" high which is less than standard pianos but is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye, 58" wide, and has a depth of 23 inches.
WEIGHT - 475 LBS.
FINISH - The finish on mine is Sheraton Mahogany, and instead of the ply finish that I have experienced with other pianos, the wood ... ...is interesting to note that Yamaha have used spruce for their keyboard instead of the old traditional ivory, and having done their homework, found that the lightness of the wood means that the touch is light and that intricate music can be played with ease.
STRINGS
The base strings are solid copper wound strings and hard maple bridges have been used. I find the whole action of the strings to be better than traditional pianos and certainly the man ...
