'Pick Me Up' but can you put me down? '

Advantages: There are lots of stories and puzzles for you to do.
Disadvantages: Some stories are less interesting.

...it costs 68p. Pick Me Up has many stories in that have been sent in by readers. The story lengths vary which is very convenient so you can read them in between doing things. Some of the other sections in the magazine are: That's good to know This page is full of people's tips and ideas the tips vary from how to remove stains to how to keep fruit ripe longer. To be honest most of the tips are quite obvious and pointless but every now and then there ...
...Could you love me? This is just small section which each week shows six animals that need to be re-homed. This week's pets include: dogs, cats and rabbits. Each animal has a picture of it, then a comment under it saying if it likes children etc and then details of the website that you can contact if you are interested in any of them. I think it's good how they have used a popular magazine to help find homes for animals. I'm sure when someone looks ...

Definitely PICK ME UP, Great read

Advantages: True life Stories
Disadvantages: When it comes to an end

...but what I like about Pick Me Up is that there is only the 2 pages which is great quality but not too much. Then you will find a section called HEALTH SOS, 4 pages in total and you find great information in here relating to your health. There is a page where you ask questions and get the answers in the magazine. Tips on keeping healthyand a true story with a factfile. A part of the magazine which I find interesting is the Jeremy Kyle section. ...
...Jeremy Kyle and he replys in the magazine. This is the only magazine Jeremy Kyle does this for and its brilliant. One page in the magazine is called photo psychic, you write in to Mystic Mary and she can tell you what the future holds. As with most magazines there is one page dedicated to YOUR STARS, so you can read your star sign for the week ahead. Next page gives you a glance at what is in next weeks magazine, which always makes me want next ...

Pick Me Up and ignore the ad.

Advantages: Good read for the price
Disadvantages: only once a week

...magazine to the tune of Pick me up buttercup. To me that is enough to put me off buying it but anyway I did and glad I did. So what is good about Pick Me Up? Well the first thing is that it costs 68p which isnt bad when it claims more real life stories than any other mag and that some magazines like Best are now as much as 83p. It comes out every Thursday. If it is a story on the cover that first catches your eye, when you look at the index it ...
...the true stories, the happy endings and then the regulars so you know exactly where to look for something. Like a lot of womans magazines it has the usual type of health help, stars, letters and tips. The Agony Aunt is Jeremy Kyle from the early morning ITV show. He is pretty god and does not mince his words. What makes his page different i that he has "Jeremys Judgement" where he picks one of the stories in the magazine and comments on it. Another ...

see if you can resist picking it up!

Advantages: a great read!
Disadvantages: none as of yet!

...from my magazine fest! Pick me Up! It was quite funny to be honest, the first time I saw this in the shop, I saw the name 'pick me up' and guess what I did...... picked it up! After a quick glance over the front cover - with its lure to the stories within, I waqs sure it was a magazine i would enjoy.... and i was right! I handed the kind lady at tesco my 65p (thats the weekly cost) and took myself home for a damn good read! Packed with true life ...
...me up's agony page) - Pick me up mum's club (Birth announcements and top tips!) - Last Laugh with the Ed ( a page from the editor - this is great, a lovely personal touch, very funny and well written!) Again, this magazine is very low on advertising! This magazine has lots of puzzles (which are all grouped together toward the end of the magazine!) although this is practical, i was dissapointed a little the first time as I turned the page and ...

Reviews which might be of interest for "Pick Me Up"

Love it magazine... I'm loving the price

Advantages: Cheap, some interesting articles, good recipes
Disadvantages: Some trashy stories, not enough fashion and beauty bits

I think 'Love it' magazine is pretty good value for 60p/ 70p, as I am not specifically writing a review of one magazine I am unable to give specific reviews on content, however I often read this as I often get the train and as a student without any money I often look for a cheap read! At 60p the content is OK, and although I prefer magazines like cosmo' and company they are much more expensive at £2 - 4 a pop and I have to watch my spending! It contains lots of 'real life' stories that are often about things to do with sex, and more interesting and thought provoking articles like this weeks one which is on domestic violence. It also contains a beauty page, and one fashion feature, although I would like to see more fashion features in it as I like the fashion and beauty pages of magazines. However in comparison to 'Pick me up' which used ...

Makes me angry too

Advantages: People making fools of themselves
Disadvantages: Lack of structure to the show

going up against other boxers in the ring, and I was completely expecting to see some blood fly, and that is why I perhaps question the legitimacy of the show because they all faired quite well against people who presumebly have been boxing for a lot longer than four weeks. I felt that the show didn't really feature Amir at all except for his name and some cameos, until the final week when he probably thought most of the viewers would be watching and wanted to be seen doing a good thing for society. The main trainer of the show was some steroid pumping guy with a beard, and if he comes up to me and tells me it is natural muscle I shall believe him, because well I'm not going to argue with someone that could pick me up and launch me ten miles with one arm. I was happy when it was over, because whilst it wasn't compulsive viewing, nor ...

Review of Amir Kahn's Angry Young Men

The plot thickens

Advantages: Addictive plotlines and drama, a must not miss!
Disadvantages: 3 times a week isn't enough for this... we crave more!!

Hiya all once more! hey it's been a long day at work and right now I'd kill for a pick me up, but hey no fair i've gotta wait till monday for the next dose of Eastenders. The story line consisting around Phil Mitchell and the "will he, won't he die?" story arc has gotta be one of the best conceived doses of writing this soap has had in it's 16 year run. To my standards it still feels like an infant when companered to its older stable mates of crossroads (yes I know it's only just come back on, but it really has been going a long time!) and Corrie! Still making up for lost time we have the main suspects, with no clues as to who actually did the shooting? My guesses have to be either a new character or perchance a complete stranger not suspected, seriously.... who else besides Ian, Mark, Steve, Lisa & Dan would want him out ...
