Advantages Advantages Hours of Great fun

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Very addictive

If there was a game I could sit and play for hours on end, over and over again and never get bored it would be Pikmin. Why? Well Pikmin is one of those addictive games that you just have play because they are cute, you get involved and the bad guys are really irritating you so much that you just have to kill them. The brains behind Pikmin is the same person who brought you Super Mario World and Zelda, he is Shigeryu Miyamoto and when you begin to play Pikmin you can see similarities with all the games. The concept of the game is really simple, you take control of the main character known as ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages I could go on and on!

I first played Pikmin, (a super cute Gamecube game), at a close friends house years ago, (it must have been 2002ish). I really loved it at the time and I've wanted a Gamecube ever since but for one reason or another I never got one. So imagine my surprise on Christmas morning when I one of my presents and it's a Gamecube. The same friends who first introduced me to it had given me it for Christmas along with Pikmin. Needless to say I couldn't wait to set it up so Boxing Day morning I was up with the larks, (or maybe robins), and playing Pikmin. ****** Now for those of you who don't know the ... more

Advantages Advantages Classic, totally original, cute and addictive

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Way too short.

Zelda, Mario, everyone has heard of these 2 famous gaming franchises. Synonymous with quality, action, adventure and fun these are 2 of the games that have helped put Nintendo firmly on the map. Both appeared in the early 80’s and have gone from strength to strength. Do you know who made them though? Shigeryu Miyamoto that’s who. Miyamoto is the official brains behind Nintendo’s greatest games. He has been a visionary of theirs for years and personally has cost me more hours of my life than I care to imagine by designing classics like Super Marioworld (SNES) and Zelda-Ocarina ... more

    Advantages Advantages Outstanding Gameplay

Disadvantages Disadvantages Short Lifespan and Terrible Camera Angles

Pikmin never really made much anticipation for itself; maybe this was because people were so excited about Smash Bros. Melee that they just seemed to ignore it, or maybe it was because Nintendo's last 'Short 'n' Sweet' title had so much anticipation from 'Hidden Mansion', and didn't really deliver, that people tried not to think about it. But whatever anyone says, it was never looked at to be Nintendo's game of the year. There was a lot of speculation that thirty fifteen minute days was far too short for a game to be. But really, the only way you're going to know is if you play it for yourself ... more

Advantages Advantages Addictive | Fun | They're so cute!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Short | They're so cute!

Pikmin are cute. Too cute. There I’ve said it. When playing this game you will become attached to each and everyone of your Pikmin, unless you have a heart of stone that is. You will feel sorry for each one of the little guys that gets eaten, drowns or gets left behind. We have the now legendary Shigeru Miyamoto to thank for this. He is the man behind such gaming icons like Donkey Kong, Link and, of course, our favourite fat plumber Mario. Pikmin sees him taking a slightly different approach into his normal gaming fare and he explores the genre of real time strategy but adds his own personal ... more
