This is one of my favourite alcoholic drinks, there is nothing more freeing than going to the pub in a warm summers day and ordering a jug of pimms to drink with friends outside on a pub bench.
Ever better, have a garden party and make a jug of pimms yourself. Pimms by itself, which I don't anyone actually does is very fruity with perhaps a slight oringy scent, however the instructions on the bottle suggest 1 part pimms to 3 parts lemonad, but one can adapt to their own alcoholic taste. Add to your diluted Pimms strawberries! Perhaps chopped in half, apple chunks and chunks of cucumber with a few sprigs of mint, make in advance and refrigerate so the alcohol is socked into the fruit and Bob's your uncle, a delicious summer drink!
A few years ago Winter Pimms arrived, this is a delicious alternative to mulled wine. I discovers that you can make a gooD "winter" Pimms out of the ordinary Pimms by mixing about 3 parts fresh orange juice to 1 part Pimms heating in a pan, gently with a stick of cinnamon and a few cloves. The before serving a helping of brandy to taste. Great for Winter gathering.
I think it's good on price, about £15 per bottle which would make quite a number of jugs full? Tends to be a more expensive drink if you buy it in the pub though.
A brilliant summer liqueur renowned for its rich fruity flavour and when combined with ... more
lemonade and fruit make it the quintissential summer's drink. A favourite among the tennis fanatics who flock to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships every year. To enjoy it the most, take a jug or long drink glass and fill it with ice, fruit and lemonade!
