She was taught to play guitar and sing by her father from an early age , and was greatly influenced by him and from an early age wanted to be a rock star.
Her stage name 'Pink' came from the film Resoviour Dogs, she started off her career as 'Mr Pink' but her agent told her 'Pink' would sound better.
Pink has an obvious love for dogs, her dog 'Elvis' however drowned this year in her pool, and her other dog Fucquerer was adopted by her dad and his name was changed to Fred.
Pink married motorcylist racer Corey Hart in Costa Rica this year, she proposed to him by holding up at sign at one of his races. Aww.
Pink's a scrict vegetarian, and speaks out about her belief a lot. She actually has sent letters to the royal family moaning about fox-hunting and has had a go at fellow singer Beyonce, for wearing fur. She's not afraid to voice her point, and that's what makes her one of the best singers in the world at the moment.
She's been nominated for six awards but unfourtunetley has only won two: 'Best female rock vocal preformance' for her song Trouble and 'Best pop collaboration with vocals' for her work on teh Moulin Rouge single Lady Marmalade.
Despite her popularity Pink has only had two number one singels here in the UK, with her songs 'Lady Marmalade' & 'Just Like A Pill'.
Pink is famous for speaking out, and her song 'Dear Mr President' is very against George Bush. It's not like her normal songs because of how slow it is, but it realls touches me, because she hits the nail on the head and tells him what we're all thinking.
Pink has sold over twenty-three million albums worldwide since 2000 when she released her first album 'Can't Take Me Home'. This is the only album of her's I don't have but I do know the songs, and my favourite has to be 'Can't Take Me Home' as it's such a nice song but her most recent albums are better.
Her next album "M!ssundaztood" is proberly her most well known album, I managed to get it for a couple of quid in Woolworths a couple of years ago and I have it on as often as possible. Songs like 'Get the Party Started', 'Just Like A Pill' & 'Family Portrait'. They're all brilliant but those three stick out, maybe because they were released but they're all brilliant. Family Portrait does really hit home though, it's a nice song.
Her next album "Try This" was nothing near as good as M!ssundaztood, but it still has some brilliant songs on it. "Trouble", "Last To Know", "God Is A DJ" & "Love Song" are song brilliant songs, all showing her ability.
Now her best album in my opinion "I'm Not Dead', it's prefection. I can't name which songs I like and which songs I don't. I had an MRI scan a couple of weeks ago, I was in there for a half an hour and was a loud to take a cd, so I took 'I'm Not Dead' it's such a nice album.
Track 16 is called "I have seen the rain" was written by her dad and was the first song she ever learnt. It's about his time as a veatnam veteran , it's a lovely song.
All the songs on this album are amazing, it's worth all the money you spend on it.
I have to say she's my favourite female singer, when I did work experiance last year all the teachers went to see her in concert, I felt so left out. I watched her live concert on VH1 the other night and she's flawless, I'm hoping she comes to a stadium near us so I can go watch her.
Advantages: Fantastic music. Disadvantages: Some more sensitive listeners might find some laguage harsh.
...a solo artist.
The name Pink originated due to Alecia and her friends being fans of the movie, Resevoir Dogs, and having nicknamed themselves after characters. Alecis told LA she was Mr.Pink and wanted to sing under this name, it was later shortened to simply 'Pink'.
Pink's first Album, Can't take me home, was released in 2000. It was a huge hit and included great tracks like Most Girls and Split Personality.
Her second, Mizzundstood, was also ... ...by the following two.
Pink has also released a fourth album, I'm not Dead Yet. It contains songs like Stupid Girls, Leave me alone (I'm Lonely), Cuz I can.
I like all of the tracks on this album, the ones listed above are my personal faves, however this album never struck me in the same way the second two did. A few of the songs are not, in my opinion, up to the usual standard of Pink and it leaves the album a little disappointing.
I found, in ...

She is a really good singer and she is original and takes no nonsense.
I think Pink will do really well in the music business. ...

I went to see Pink at the SECC, Glasgow on 31st March 2004. My housemate?s little sister?s friends weren?t going to be able to go with her so she asked if we?d like to instead but then it all turned round, they weren?t working anymore and we weren?t going to get to go? so I got onto eBay quicksmart and managed to bag us 2 standing tickets for less than their original price!! I was amazed but really glad as we?d had our hopes up. We only had 2 days to look forward to the concert and that made it all the more exciting.
Pink has a style of rock and pop mixed into one; she takes the style and makes it her own. Her music caters for a variety of tastes and ages while keeping it real with meaningful lyrics and puts her soul into singing. There are however a few explicit lyrics not for the young ones and she can be somewhat raunchy but ...

Advantages: Groundbreaking... helped invent prog-rock, created some of the greatest albums of all time Disadvantages: Constant disputes, personality clashes, egomania
Well, this could take some time. Of all my favourite bands, the Floyd are the one who've been around the longest, and have been in my music collection the longest, and their back-catalogue is extensive to say the least.
Unlike most of the bands I've been reviewing lately, I doubt that this one needs much of an introduction or an in-depth description of their music style. For one thing, their musical style varies wildly from album to album, incorporating elements of funk, blues, jazz and gospel into their trademark prog-rock soundscapes.
The only way to review Pink Floyd properly is to do so chronologically, highlighting each studio album, personnel change and other landmark along the way. To do this we have to go back to the mid-60s, when Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Rick Wright formed the band, initially playing ...

Advantages: Range of music Disadvantages: Early material might put you off!
I have been a Pink Floyd fan for many years and yes I still do listen to the earthy early stuff. How could you not listen to a track called: "Careful with that axe Eugene"?
Very early material such as the double album "Ummagumma" from which the above mentioned track comes, are to all intents and purposes psychedelic hard rock, BUT the group is eclectic too; on the same album there is the weird and wonderful "Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a Pict". Sounds bizarre and it is, but listen to it twice and I bet that you can't get the immortal lyric "Um buh ah eeeeee!" out of your mind!
And for those whose taste leans to the lyrical, the pretty, "Grantchester Meadows" an acoustic, melodic ballad, is evocative of the Cambridge roots of the group...you could almost be there in ...
