Why I Upgraded
I recently upgraded from Windows XP Home Edition to WindowsVista, the reason for the upgrade was simply because I got a new laptop and it came with WindowsVista. If I had not have needed the new laptop then I probably would not have paid to upgrade to Vista, this is mostly because I was happy with XP and so had no reason to want to upgrade. I had heard of Vista though and wanted to try it out as everyone else was getting it and seemed happy with it, as I said however I would not have paid to upgrade as it is too expensive when there was nothing wrong with what I was using.
Look and Feel of Vista
The cosmetic side of Vista is as good as you would want it to be, in this respect I prefer it to XP. It has the side bar which you can download various widgets for including an E-bay one which I find helpful ...
Advantages: smooth, quick, easy to install and use, pretty to look at, simplified for the masses Disadvantages: Vista should have been like this - Microsoft robbed us!
Windows 7 makes WindowsVista feel like a beta. That?s my philosophy. It was my philosophy before I bought Windows 7 and it?s still my philosophy now. That?s where the ?it looks like Vista? comments come from. Windows 7 is Vista without all the rubbish. Everything people moaned about in vista is gone (or improved) and 7 is more spangly and all singing and dancing. It looks better, runs more smoothly and is simple to use. You might even say its been dumbed down for the masses. Simplified. It?s a pleasure to use. It loads more quickly than Vista and is aesthetically pleasing as it does so.
