Advantages: Small, plays DivX, XVid, firmware upgradable, multi-region capable Disadvantages: Very small, can't stack under TV or hi-fi
...- you can select setup options such as automatically zooming in to widescreen movies so that they fill the screen, fit to height, fit to width, pan and scan etc.
For DivX and XVid discs, it presents you with a list of files on the disc. Normally you will have downloaded the files off the Internet, or recorded them using a PC-TV card, on a seperate computer then burned these files onto CD or DVD data discs. You then use the cursor keys to navigate files and folders, then press Enter to select a file to play. Alternatively just tap the Play button, which by default plays the first file on the disc and continues with other files in alphabetical order. Unfortunately the directory listing only shows the first 20 or so characters of the file name.
DivX/XVid playback is beyond superb - much better than any DivX or XVid software codec can achieve...

Advantages: easy set up, a quick solution to music streaming Disadvantages: sound quality does not match original source.
...The Pinnacle SoundBridge media hub is a smashing device considering the price of around £50.00
Its versatile and is fairly easy to set up and seamlessly connects to your wireless router in order to give you easy access to Internet radio. The device happily finds both my windows media files and itunes folder and allows you to browse and play these tunes through speakers or your hi-fi if you connect this using a spare phono socket. The sound quality is a little dissapointing as it lacks the natural volume and depth of the original source. The other problem...

Advantages: Large display screen (with adjustable brightness), top quality sound, smart and sopisticated looks and ofcourse the ReVu tchnology Disadvantages: no playback through USB, it is very expencise
...The DMX50, in my eyes is the pinnacle of all existing DAB radios. It offers the ability to pause and rewind live radio (ReVu), it will also allow you to record direct from the radio onto an SD card (the type found in many cameras). I have been told that you should be able to rewind about 10-20 mins but in my experience it is usually between 9-10 mins. The large screen will display both the name of the station and Radio Text on FM; on DAB it will show scrolling text and information.
I have found that the DMX50 is very user friendly, it is very self explanatory how to anything. Although the Tune/Select knob will take some getting used to: you have to turn it anti-clockwise to go up, which dose not correspond to the volume knob where it is the pretty standard clockwise to turn the volume up.
The DMX50 also has the looks to rival its...
