Having used as friends CDJ200 and enjoyed it very much, I purchased one of my own. The unit looks very good and feels solid in construction. The best features are the looping facility and the ability to cut loops, cutting loops on the CD deck is a feature that the CDJ1000 DOESNT HAVE. The Effects (Jet, Zip and Wah) are good and produce the same result as the Pioneer efx 500 and DJM effects modules.
The pitch adjustment is smooth and you can choose between +/-6,10,12% pitch, the pitch can be bent easily by the jog wheel, this takes a while to get used to as it is different to a standard turntable (1210) and not as dampered as the excellent jog wheel on a CDJ1000, this is acceptable as it is less than half the price.
The ability to play MP3 format cd's is great as you can fit about 150 accapellas on one cd, excellent for easy access and better sets.
Overall I have been very impressed and intend to buy another unit very soon.

Sounds neat - I just bought my brother a Behringer USB mixing deck that lets him mix all his music live from MP3 - sounds like this is quite similar but from CD. How much was it? SAm.
