Advantages: Slim Aesthetics, 450 W RMS Power Output, Excellent Treble & Mids, Robust Build, The interface capability - SCART, Phono, S-Video and digital. Quite inexpensive at £232.00 Disadvantages: Bass slightly Honky, The blue light in the unit hits out at the eye in dark environments, which is quite irritating while watching movies.
...What would you do if you won £10,000??? Buy a PioneerDCS-313 I suppose. But that was what one Mr. Kepler Wolfgang in my neighbourhood did. So I fixed up an appointment with him to have a glance at his new PioneerDCS-313, though he was hesitant at first due to a slight insecure thought when I just barged into his home & introduced myself ( I am this kind of a guy ). But he had coupled the PioneerDCS-313 with a pair of Bose jewel cubes, which I am not including in the apparatus I am reviewing. So go get a bag of popcorn so that you can go through this detailed review.

Advantages: Great looking, Great brand in Pioneer, Great sound quality Disadvantages: Sound output could be higher
...The pioneerDCS 360 home cinema system, is a great looking system and one that really delivers. This stylish design consists of the DVD player, sub woofer and 5 tall floor standing speakers with a black wooden design. All of which are magnetically shielded to decrease any interference on the signal quality caused by electrical supplies that maybe nearby.
With a total of 360W RMS it isnt the most powerful system on the market, however the quality of the sound it great. With Dolby Pro-Logic I and II available on this system, you are capable of getting the best sound from both pre recorded CD and DVDs you can also amplify the normal TV sound through all the speakers.
On top of all this the system comes with USB connectivity which allows you to connect your MP3 player to make use of the set as a home hi fi, this feature is enhanced...

Advantages: Ok for DVD surround Disadvantages: No TV surround. No digital optical cable.
...Pioneer have really let the side down with this model. It is not capable of converting TV sounds sources to Pro Logic surround sound!! The best you get is stereo from the front two speakers via a RF cable. It doesn't even have a digital optical cable! What a let down! As a DVD player it does what I expect it to but the reason people buy these systems is for full surround, including the ability to convert TV sound to surround. Not worth the money and I'm looking at sending mine back.. PS - IT DOESN'T PLAY iPODS EITHER VIA ITS USB SOURCE EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS YOU CAN CONNECT MP3 PLAYERS!! I HAVE SPOKEN TO PIONEER CUSTOMER SERVICES AND THEY SAY AN iPOD IS NOT AN MP3 PLAYER!! GOOD ONE!!...
