I love blasting my music when im driving. Up until i got this, i could only play tapes (and sound quality was poor !) especially since i would have to transfer some of my cds onto tape for those long journeys !
I bought a new car, and got this with the car. This plays CD & radio. I also recieved a carry case to hold the removable faceplate. The removable faceplate is great as it keeps the thieves away......what are they going to do with a stereo with no controls ! :) the carry case is very durable and a great size. (3cm x 18cm x 5.2cm)
Other features include a green animated display, which can display animations ranging from dolphins to animated cubes.
The CD text functionality is great. It reads text and graphic information stored on the cd such as artist, song title & album title.
The radio tuner (AM/FM) is excellant quality and this saves 18 FM Presets or 6 AM Presets.
Im not a techy geek, so ease of use is very important to me....on whch criteria this stereo passes with flying colours ! its very simple to use.
This stereo looks great as it is flush with the dashboard. The pop-up rotary volume knob is great too, as being able to push it back in adds to the flushness of the stereo.
On the whole, i think this stereo is great. I think it retails for less than £50. Which i think is great value for such good quality sound.

The graphics are wonderful, the equalizer is good. The sound can be customized and saved. The presets are on the bottom of the unit for quick and easy access and use. There is nothing like this on the market anymore, especially visually. The movies are well-produced, the color is great, the pictures are very nicely detailed. The new Pioneers don't hold a candle to this one. All of the great features have either been dropped or scaled down on the newer models. If you like easy operation, a lot of control, and great picture, this is the deck for you.

The DEH-P6400 can control a Pioneer CD changer and a TV tuner, and its bright Organic EL display lets you easily read functions and status, even in sunlight. Also featured: cell phone/mute capability (with the CD-CM1), pop-up rotary volume knob, and XM Radio readiness. Hey. The light's green.
That car radio system is a blast. Intuitive controls, usb and ipod control are really adding up to the fun here.
I had a bit of trouble installing because the main problem with aftermarket systems is that illumination wire that you never know where to more
