Advantages: Can burn Dual Layer (8.5GB) media (4x speed), 16x speed for DVD+-R, CD-RW 32x24x40x Disadvantages: Regions can be changed 5 times
...Pioneer DVR-108 16x DVD+/-RW is one of the best or the best DVD+-RW drive on the market. Pioneer's products has good reliability. With this drive you can burn 4.7GB data in about seven minutes. It's also supports writing Dual Layer media - 8.5 GB discs at 4x speed. If you're planing to buy DVD+-RW drive than choose Pioneer DVR-108. Pioneer name means quality. This drive isn't very fast, but burning and reading quality is excellent. It uses RPC-2 region protection. You can change region 5 times and then you will be locked on the last one. This is only one disadvantage of this drive, but now almost all DVD drives have protection from changing regions.
I hope i help you to decide buy or not this great drive. I guarantee 99% that you will be satisfied your decision to buy this device....

Advantages: Its black, its good, it lasts along time Disadvantages: none
...I’ve just built a new system with two of these in, the main reason was in my last system I had one pioneer 109 and one pioneer 108 these DVD drives had never let me down over the past three or so years I, so it was obvious to me when it came time to build a new system to use the latest pioneerDVD drives.
The pioneer 112 DVD drives are very quiet, very fast, I have the model that can play ram discs as well witch not all DVD writers can.
They can also use all of the standard disc types Inc Duel layer discs if you need to, they come in black or boring beige if you wish.
The main thing I like with this DVD drive they will take nearly all of the different manufactures discs witch I know not all drives will.
its a big i would buy this drive any time...

Advantages: fast reliable and cheap Disadvantages: problems burning cheaper discs
...i have been a loyal customer of pioneer writers for a while now. the Pioneer DVR 111D is a must have for anyone not wanting to spend a fortune on a dvd writer without compromise on reliability. i have used this now for 3 weeks and have not had any failed discs or bad burns. im using nero 7 and ive tried it with other programs such as clone dvd and dvd shrink. for most discs i purchase ones that contain the go5 dye and burn at 8 speed. cdrs not a problem have burnt all mine at 32 speed and have had none fail. recomend this drive for price, compatibility and suprisingly it is extremely quiet.. good value for money recomend you buying one if you need to backup, copy etc.. lots of info a week....

Also called Pioneer Kuro. Kuro stands for black and each one of the plasmas within this range has been designed to deliver better black levels than any other flat TV on the market. You may be thinking why is the black so important? You are probably more... more
I had been without a DVD-RW drive for a few weeks since my last drive gave up. The first thing I noticed when looking for a new one was how cheap they are now. The last one I had I'd only paid £35 for thinking that was cheap, but now you can get them for more
The Pioneer 4280XD a fantastic choice of television and quite possibly one of the best plasma options currently out of the market, before it's release there was a massive hype within the circles that follow this sort of thing and you should know that the more
