Disadvantages: Interface could be better

...That car radio system is a blast. Intuitive controls, usb and ipod control are really adding up to the fun here. I had a bit of trouble installing because the main problem with aftermarket systems is that illumination wire that you never know where to tie up. I ended up frying my dashboard dimmer switch which is a 65$ value! Just be careful when installing those things! For the radio itself, the advantages are the legendary Pioneer sound quality. The downside I think is the menu navigation. If you have an iPod filled with music, choosing an artist can soon become a long task to accomplish e.g: you have to turn that button soooo many times. But else it really looks great and as I said, USB control is really cool. Personnaly I installed a 160gb HD powered by my lighter plug directly connected to the unit. Never change the disc again!... ...This is a great product, but only if you take the time to work out how to use all the features and link them together. However, my wife who has never had any problems with technology cannot fathom it, and has to ask me to carry out any recording functions. That having been said the playback, recording and sound quality are all very good - especially through HDMI cable. The player has a few tricks up its sleeve in that it can store pictures from a digital camera and has a jukebox to store music from MP3 players. The in-built TV guide is exceptional. You can list your preferences and the guide will then automatically show recommended programmes for viewing and recording. Also films and sport are shown in different colours so are easy to pick out. ...Pioneer DEH-30 MP I bought this car stereo around 2 years ago for my car as I wanted something that sounded better than the standard stereo. I bought mine from Motor-mania for around £150.LCD blue screen and reads out what ever it is playing at the time. I think it has really good quality sound even when the volume is on high. It plays any CDs including MP3 and even ones that are slightly scratched play just as well on this CD player.
