Advantages: well-built, good enough picture and sound quality, easy to use Disadvantages: Ethernet on VISTA only (not on XP), rather expensive for what it is
The picture quality is no better or worse than on other DVD recorders I own from Sony and Panasonic. But compared to these the Pioneer is sturdier. Very well built.
Even so, anyone interested in LX61D for its Ethernet facility should note that this ONLY works with Windows VISTA. You can't connect LX61D via Ethernet to a PC running Windows XP (any flavour). XP users must connect via USB. Your router will see LX61D okay. But XP can't use the connection. Page 125 of the manual makes this clear:
'Use a PC with a Windows Vista operating system. This operation will not work properly on PCs with other operating systems.'
But Pioneer doesn't allude to this on its web site. Sneaky, huh?
So, unless you're running VISTA, forget about Ethernet and think 'USB ONLY'. Then go buy the longest USB cable that will work. Actually this ...

The Camera Itself
Here it is, the slightly higher than entry level digital SLR from Nikon. On paper it seems very similar to many other similar priced cameras. So in this review, I dig a little deeper to see if there is enough difference to put you out of pocket.
First thing you will notice is the size of the body. It is impressively small, very good for travel photography and in general circumstances. The bodies? grip will fit the contours of your hand well even if you have large hands, like myself. The 10.2 megapixel sensor is expected, but possibly may have benefited from upping to 12 megapixels or more. As beginner to enthusiast photographers develop they will be left wanting more pixels to suffice their needs. The manufacturers? website states it also includes, ?Active D-Lighting.? This is said to ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: very helpful Review of Nikon D60
Lightweight compared to the older D50 have been using for work, the LCD screen is much larger too. Ive had the camera for 2 months now and have only skimmed the surface of its capabilities, using it for real estate photography with a Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens it has been excellent just set on the default settings (thankfully!) There are plenty of point and press settings to take happy snaps, automatic focusing with compatible lenses. Unlike the compact cameras there is no digital zoom and the inbuilt flash is good for fill in flash while happy snapping, but is a bit ineffective compared to the add on speedlight option. The battery life is excellent in comparison to my old coolpix 8700, i suppose this is because the lens zoom is performed by hand not a motor inside the camera. There is an editing program within the camera to adjust ...
