Although this DVD player has been around for a while now there are not many players that can live up to that of the Pioneer DV-575A-S. I have the 565A as the living room DVD Player and I was so impressed with it I went out and bought the 575A-S for my bedroom. At a lower price, around £100, and the same great performance it was hard not to.
This little DVD player packs a powerful punch as plays all manner of discs, including DVD-Audio and SACD (Super Audio CD). With a heap of connections on the back such as 5.1 audio out, component video out and s-video you will be hard pushed to find a device it can't connect to!
The Pioneer is supplied without a SCART lead, which is actually a blessing. To get the full potential from the 575 you need a decent lead, I use a £50 QED SCART lead and the colours are nothing short of outstanding. When the pioneer is connected to an audio processor the DTS decoder in the Pioneer is priceless, you may wonder what difference this DTS can make but I can assure you, you won't go back to Dolby Digital any time soon.
In a performance to pound ratio the Pioneer DV-575A-S is second to none. Of course there are better players on the market, if you want to spend upwards of £1000 then go ahead, otherwise spend £100 and get a great DVD player that beats DVD players £200 its superior.
