Display display is blue backlighted and well readable. Shows basic statuses of the player and informations about playing music. On the connected screen is possible to see all aditional informations.
DVD It is possible to eject with remote controller what is comfortable. Drive is fast and fastly responds orders. It is silent and you can hear it only when loading or when quickly switching the songs, but anyway it is not loud in that cases.
Remote controller Remote controller does not need exact aim on the device and fits well to your hand. It has strong construction so you can drop it on the floor without being afraid. The only think i dislike about controller are the buttons menu, top menu, home menu - these are labeled not well and it is a bit confusing for the user.
Playable formats Devide is able to play almost all common formats including SCAD Multi and DVD-Audio what is not common for the price category of this device. The only one format which i wasnt able to play was Mini DV. The device recognizes it but it will not play. The supported are:DVD/CD/SVCD/VCD/CD-R/CD-RW/DVD-R/DVD-RW/ DVD+R/DVD+RW/ DivX 5/ DivX 4/ DivX 3/ DivX VOD/DivX ULTRA, MP3 / WMA, MPEG4-AAC.
Video Supported is 4:3 and 16:9. Video is very high quality when playing DVD - it is sharp and live. There are many possibilities to set corrections for the video. You can set sharpness, Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Hue, Chroma level, BNR.
Finally thing I apreciate is that it consumes a low ammount of energy - playing 12W, stand-by only 0.8w

I have enjoyed the old Pioneer DV 626D for many years but up dated my TV to Samsung 1080 capability so invested in new 600av. Wow what a change! This is the best money I have ever spent on AV. I have an old Yamaha DSP2 Amp and B&W surround speakers. Now they dance to both audio and DvD. I played Harry Potter 3 on old system then on new. The difference is mind blowing! Then put on a classical cd and sit back and wonder what you have been missing. ... ...systems and would melt to hear what this system can deliver.
Hey buttons are small it needs a bit of time to warm, up and do not rely on display for info but put your favourite DVd or CD on and sit back and enjoy. You will not be dissapointed!!. ...

Excellent stuff i really enjoy using this especially with the quality of video superb quality and audio. The only thing that missing is the DSP modes which i think only incorporate on dv-400 or maybe i just miss something but overall feature well give you satisfaction enjoy. ...

Quick review of Pioneer DV-600AV
Pleyer incorrectly scales picture (Jpeg).Iskajaet size on the vertical line to the side of decrease. All people in the photographs become nizen'kimi and thick. Cannot be disposed correct proportions. For this apparatus this disgrace!!! i got one,,,dificult to use,,a lot of diferent buttons on cremote controlle.... ...
