DVD-Audio is a high resolution audio medium of excellent quality it combines the clearness of CD with the better sound of vinyl, it is one of the first formats to be able to replace record players properly for audio quality. SA-CD Super Audio CD is the other high resolution audio system - this one uses DSD instead of PCM. CD Yes it plays CD WMA It can play WIndows Media files on a CD Last and most definately least it can also play that compressed music format called MP3. Advantages: Plays everything you throw at it

...Although this DVD player has been around for a while now there are not many players that can live up to that of the Pioneer DV-575A-S. I have the 565A as the living room DVD Player and I was so impressed with it I went out and bought the 575A-S for my bedroom. At a lower price, around £100, and the same great performance it was hard not to. This little DVD player packs a powerful punch as plays all manner of discs, including DVD-Audio and SACD (Super Audio CD). With a heap of connections on the back such as 5.1 audio out, component video out and s-video you will be hard pushed to find a device it can't connect to! The Pioneer is supplied without a SCART lead, which is actually a blessing. Advantages: Great Picture, Crystal Clear Sound, Great Range Of Connections

...settings so you can adjust brightness, sharpness etc on your DVD to make the picture just how you want it. The audio output, whether its through the analog RCA ports or the Coaxial out port, is extremely clear and is well distributed when going through a 5.1 surround system. The DVD player is extremely easy to set up with only a short procedure required when the player is first turned on. This is quite simply selection your format of TV, if your going to be using digital out or not and what output you are using to go to the TV. The one thing i did find quite annoying when i bought this product is the fact that Pioneer only supply you with a composite cable to connect it to your TV, they could have least supplied a scart lead!
