Advantages Mini disc is versitile and durible
Disadvantages They are only 74 mins of recording time.
I was a little dubious of Minidisc when they were first released on the UK market. I already had a DAT machine and thought that this was the best thing since sliced bread. I picked the Pioneer MJ-D707 because it had all the gadgets at a reasonable price and all the rest of my Hi-fi was made by Pioneer. I have now ditched my DAT and Tape deck and use this machine for all my recordings.
Minidiscs cannot be scratched like CDs and chewed up like tapes can. The best thing about Minidisc recorders are that can edit and label your favourite tracks easily. The machine then displays the name of the track when to listen to it at a later date. This is hand if you do not remember what is on the disc. The MJ-D707 is approximatly £200 at the moment but you can get it for less if you shop around.
