Advantages: Surplus input channel headroom Disadvantages: Lacks mic defeat switch
...the apparently happy throng of Pioneer DJM-600 users with this second-hand but "mint" example. This I hasten to add was in no small part influenced by another DJ friend's satisfied experience & enthusiasm as a DJM-500 owner - although he had outlayed considerably more sheckles (approx double) than I for his purchase some years previously. Perhaps this may be an indication of its resale value.
On first inspection of the '600's controls I was somewhat ... ...Having consulted with the local Pioneer distributors - this was indeed the case and as it transpires, has bags of headroom in this respect!
Another was its physical size & weight - to fit my existing rig - designed and configured around the old BVL - it does (just) - however the acquisition of some angle RCA adaptors to prevent any undue wear & tear on the leads was necessary. Also, at 6.6kgs it meant another defunct MD unit could finally be jettisoned ...

Advantages: INDUSTRY STANDARD, LOADS OF FEATURES Disadvantages: SOME FEATURES ARE HARD TO USE
What a piece of equipment if you want to be a DJ then use what the pros use.
I've owned my DJM600 for 3 years now and it is the greatest piece of DJ kit I have ever owned. Just knowing that whatever club I go to spin in I can almost guarantee that they will have one of these in between some amazing decks. The build quality of this mixer is second to none it's built very sturdy and all four of the channel slider controls and knobs move freely without ... ...very accurate which is good for making sure your channel levels are correct when bringing in a new track. Each channel has a 3 band EQ making sound adjustments that much more precise. Each channel also has two inputs which are selected by a switch at the top of the channel. In total you get 4-line, 3-phono and 1 Mic input
I love that the features this machine boasts are incredible and most (not all) are easy to use like the reverb, filter, echo, ...

Advantages: STANDARD INDUSTRY Disadvantages: THERE IS A COPY OF IT WHICH IS WELL CHEAPER,DEAR MIXER
Other then no 1/4 inch outs im very pleased with the features, but I do think that the headphone jack is in a terrible spot. It should be mounted on the front like someone previously mentioned.
In my opinion the 500 had better quality, the faders jst dont seem 2 be as durable as the faders used on the 500. The crossfader is also horrible. I like the fact that you can easily replace all the channel faders by simply removing a few screws, same way ... ...the price should be a little cheaper considering that they no longer make the 500. But what can you do.
This mixer is the bomb, I wanted it bad
The sound quality is very good
The layout of this mixer and the 500 are the best I've ever played on, the only better mixer I can think of would be the Allen & Heath. ...

Advantages: all inclucive fully packed top of the range mixer Disadvantages: none
...The Behringer DJX700 has to be the best value for money DJ mixer on the market. it is a slight copy of the more expencive PioneerDJM600S.
the DJX700 comes feature full and i cant think of any thing else that could have been squeezed in to it.
you get a 5 channel mixer (3 phono, 4 line/cd and 1 mic channel) all with individual eq trim. high mid and low.
you get dual beat counters assigned to what ever you put on the crossfader, a full range of kill switches which kill sound excellently with additional kill with the trim. then there are the effects.
this mixer may not have the best effect parimiters but what you get is more than adequite for any DJ to tweak there mixes.
there are 47 individual effects including reverbs, Echos, Delays and filters just to name a few and if thats not enough there is a seperate effects in...
