Advantages: Great For Katie Fans! Disadvantages: Seen A Lot Of It Before!
or not , Standing Out is the fourth non fictional book from Katie. This book was released in the United Kingdom on 22nd October 2009. This book is a kind of autobiography , yet it is mainly based on fashion and Katie's looks and beauty/fashion tips. This book contains two hundred and eight pages and is available to buy from Amazon for £10.
If I'm honest , when I first heard about this book , I thought it was going to be exactly what Victoria Beckham did ; a book with fashion tips. However , Katie's version is a little bit different as the book is mainly based on her views on how her fashion has changed and so on. However , I wouldn't really call this a style guide because it isnt' all about style. In this book , Katie rambles on about her life as well as fashion. She has tried to 'hand out' some useful tips , but most of them I already knew ...
Advantages: Backs up 4.7GB of your important data Disadvantages: None as yet
On a never ending quest to improve my computer set up I decided I needed to purchase a DVD recorder drive of some sort. Backing up my important data using my CD-R drive was a time consuming operation which used four CD-R`s every time. I had been put off by the high price of DVD recorder drives while they remained fairly new but over the past few months prices have dropped to such an extent that a DVD recorder drive can now be bought for under £100. When I saw the Pioneer DVR ? 106 drive available for £88 at Dabs.com I did not hesitate in ordering the drive which duly arrived just two days later.
Now a problem that faces consumers when they decide to buy a DVD recorder drive is that there is more than one type of blank DVD media that can be recorded upon, these are DVD-R and DVD+R. Many people have argued long and hard extolling ...
Advantages: Characters, once you start u cant stop! Disadvantages: Size means it might take some time to get through.
I was recomended this book by a friend who told me that The Stand is by far the best of all Stephen King novels. After getting over the shock of how big the book is (i much prefer a shorter read!) I read the first chapter, and literally couldnt put it down again. For those of you that dont know the plot then i dont think i could really sum it up for you without cheapening the story, but as with all King novels the narrative is very much character driven, with lots of different threads going on at once. The detail that King goes into with each characters different story helps to create the suspense and atmosphere that makes him one of the greatest writers of our time. I cant recomend this book enough, but whatever you do, DONT watch the cheaply made straight to TV adaptation instead! The word 'butchered' springs to mind. ...
