Well, wanted a plasma tv for ages, finally got courage to buy one, because of kids did want all of buttons hidden so did not buy panasonic, read review on Pioneer and was told best TV to buy.
Not wrong there, first very easy to set up, Control is not bad, not great but does the job.

Sound is incredible, i had philips Dolby Digital TV, to get great sound had to increase sound alot but with this 12 or 13 is clear crisp sound
Sexy to look ... ...burn, so long as you turn contrast down to games mode, no problem my kids watch lots of tv with cbeebies etc and no burn, so yes picture looks little dark but ok though
my main gripe is dust boy does this TV pick up dust but small gripe.
Really 42 in is not that big as i thought for £1500, bargin, dont be a fool and get anything else, its a steel, dont buy the 427 model with 1 hd socket which currys sell waste of time. ... more

This unit is suitable and competent with all types of programme. The control buttons are not visible from the front so not accessible to children and if wall mounted, as I have mine, well out of reach of kids until they are in their terrible ... ...eg. skin, skies, landscape are displayed. Also handles the input from computer or Playstation/Wii cleanly.
All input sockets are easily accessible and and the romote control is clear and simple to use.

Advantages: Overall quality of product is very good Disadvantages: The need to protect it from screen burn
I have owned my Plasma for 3 months and been delighted. The picture quality is great with exceptionally true blacks and sharp definitions. The sound is pretty good too.
In terms of setting up, this is easy and quick to do. Although I did not find the instructions that user friendly or particularly inviting to read.
The only real complaint I have is the need to protect from screen burn. When buying the tv we were advised to avoid programmes with ... ...screen burn after prolonged periods of time. It is amazing how many programmes carry branding and it prevents these channels from being enjoyed. A top tip would be to go into to the power control menu and select level 2 to enhance screen life - especially when the screen is new. ...

Advantages: easy to use with free-view, has energy save mode, easy to set up, great quality Disadvantages: remote feels abit cheap, at first i had a buzzing noise in the sound and i have heard of a few other people with this problem
I have just brought one of these tv's myself and i was very pleased with its overall performance. I thought this was going to be like any other tv not that easy to set up, to many settings to go through during picture set up. i was very pleased to find that although there are 22 picture enhancing features they were very easy to use and you can get the picture quality just how you want it. the screen size is 42 inch and i thought it might not handle ... ...i think this is a good tv for men who like there gadgets as there are a few settings for you to play with. I tried a dvd with had a very bassy sound track to see what the sound would be like and the tv handles bass brilliantly it wasn't tinny at all.
overall i would recommend this tv to anyone looking for a plasma with great quality it was easy to set up which is a very postive thing for me. although i did have a problem with the sound i phoned ...
