I have owned my Plasma for 3 months and been delighted. The picture quality is great with exceptionally true blacks and sharp definitions. The sound is pretty good too.
In terms of setting up, this is easy and quick to do. Although I did not find the instructions that user friendly or particularly inviting to read.
The only real complaint I have is the need to protect from screen burn. When buying the tv we were advised to avoid programmes with branded (i.e. E4) signs permanently displayed as they can cause screen burn after prolonged periods of time. It is amazing how many programmes carry branding and it prevents these channels from being enjoyed.
A top tip would be to go into to the power control menu and select level 2 to enhance screen life - especially when the screen is new.
