WHY SHOULD YOU --------------------------- This is a quality tv which need's a big room to really show it off when one of my family first invited me round to see it i could'nt beleive the picture quality. It is the clearest plasma tv ive seen and the sound quality i good two id recomend getting some larger speaker tho that are placed correctly in your room there are so many possible option's for you with this screen, it's even possible for you to connect this screen to your pc for Slide show's and presentation's and picture viewing, the tv does have a built in memmory card plot as Well for viewing picture's,dvd's also look amazeing on this screen plus when SONY'S BLUE-RAY disc's are released later in the year this screen will truely look amazeing, there are a small amount of blue ray high definition clips avalible for download on the net from the right site's and when you watch these on your screen when you connect your pc to the tv it really does show how powerfull the screen is.
WHY SHOULD'NT YOU -------------------------------- do you really want to spend £3150+ on a tv which does'nt even have a built in dvd player there only cheap but i think a dvd as well as the already included free view box should have been included i think it's the little thing's that spoil this tv.
THE SCREEN -------------------- The PDP506XDE is a 50'' plasma television that includes a freeview box and a high definition visible viewing angle screen ,1280x768 panel resolution, NTSC, PAL, SECAM compatibility, SVGA/XGA/SXGA compatibility,SRS surround sound, HDMI input's and a colour management program, plus(Guide Plus+) and EQ controls.

PICTURE & SCREEN ------------------------------ XGA Panel Aspect Ratio=16:9 Number of Pixels=1280 (Hor) x 768 (Ver) Brightness: 1100 cd/m2 Video Signals=PAL/SECAM/ NTSC3.58/NTSC4.43/PAL60/HD/PC PC Signals=VGA/SVGA/ XGA/Wide XGA Still Picture AV Selection=Programmed Picture PUREBLACK Crystal Layer Direct Colour Filter True Matrix Imaging with Deep Waffle Rib Structure Colour Temperature Adjustment Colour Management Digital CTI Digital Noise Reduction Dynamic HD Converter Digital Flicker Free Pure Cinema
RATE --------- Im rateing this tv as 8 0ut of 10 it's the little thing's that ruin this one for me mainly the absense of a built in dvd player this should come as standard since you can get DVD players for as little a £25 these days and why add a freeview box with up to 30 channels when you will most probaly get sky or cable.but apart from these i think it a really high quality screen with brill sound and as it's got a very high resolution it will last for well over the next 10 year

Pretty good review, thanks. K8 - I suspect the mistakes in the lists were avoided by being a copy and paste job from another website. Saves me looking for it!
I'm about to order one of these beasties now and am trying to make sure that I am doing the right thing!
