means black in Japanese this is relevant because KURO screens have significantly deeper black levels than any other flat-screen TV on the market; some 80% deeper. The KURO screen gives you the ability to see literally every shade between black and white. Now the film you see and feel on-screen is unparalleled in range and detail the ultimate appearance of vivid and flawless colour. The deepest black levels produce the purest colours which reveal the sharpest details. This is KURO! INCLUDES FREE PEDESTAL STADN -- LIMITED OFFER ONLY!!
...I did a whole lot of research into the meaning of HD, resolution differences, contrast ratio etc. After doing a thorough check on everything that was on offer from manufacturers we decided the PioneerPDP-LX5080D looked by far the best. We bought the TV in February of this year and can only say it has been money very very very well spent.
We have it wall mounted and the Kuro picture quality is second to none. Everything about this flat screen plasma TV is fabulous. Just be careful when buying as ours did not come with speakers (although they were offered for sale seperately), we did not want speakers and hooked ours up to the home cinema system.
Goodbye, from two very happy Pioneer customers....

Also, it copes with 24fps content. It a great TV which also looks great. 5 stars...
