Advantages: Great sounding, deep rich bass. Disadvantages: Needs time to set up correctly.
This is part of Pioneer's accelerate range which has been around for
some years now. The TS-W 306C is a 12" sub woofer designed to
be fitted to a sub box which is sold separately.
Fitting
The sub woofer comes with a pack of screws and double sided foam
which is secured to the back of the speaker and then mounted onto
the box, so as to give a perfect seal when screwed to the box.
This is then mounted in the boot of your car. The only connection that
you need to make is the speaker wires which is attached to the side of the box. I recommend using a good quality OFC (oxygen free cable)
This cable is then connected to the speaker terminals on your amp.
Performance
This will vary greatly depending which amp you will use to drive this
speaker. As a rule i would suggest you use a good quality amp
rated 200 watts and above ...
Advantages: Fast Cheap, Hardcore Hot Hatch Disadvantages: higher insurance, not for faint hearted! OEM Exhausts fall off!!!
The Cup is a modern equivalent of what the Clio Williams was back in the 1990s to the Hot Hatch Scene.
I've owned my 172Cup for 4 years, the car is 170BHp (172PS) and weighs 1021Kg. The car is available in 2 colours (predominantly Mondiale Blue) and also there are some in Silver. There are full specs here http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/roadcars/heritage/clio172cup/
The car has cheaper interior than the normal 172, no side airbags, no Xenon lights, no Cruise Control, no traction control, no ABS, no spare wheel. There is no Climate Control on most 172Cups, but it was brought in later on in the car's life as an option. 0-60 in 6.5 seconds this car isn't shy!
The insurance is higher than a normal 172, some companies won't insure the Cup (also known as the 'Widowmaker'). Make sure that you are a good or experienced driver, as ...
Advantages: Clear, no discernible flicker Disadvantages: Would prefer silver design! ;)
I am actually using the Dell E172FP monitor whilst writing this review of it, and looking at the screen it's very difficult to see anything wrong with it. This is a classic Dell design- a kind of stony black finish (it almost looks like granite) which does look good, although I personally would have preferred silver (can;t have evrything though).
SCREEN SIZE:
17 inch screen, and the viewable area is actually very good on this monitor. Remember the bad old days when monitors were built into a big clunky surround and the viewable area, i.e the screen itself, was a good deal less than what you might have expected? Thankfully with the new range of flat screens coming out the viewable area always seems to turn out quite generous, and this one is no exception.
RESOLUTION:
Supports up to 1280 x 1024 which is good. I am one of those ...
