Pioneer TS-E 1375

Advantages: Bulletproof (theoretically), look awesome, soooo loud!
Disadvantages: Quite high optimum input - need an amp for best results

.... ------------------Reasons for buying--------------- I have a friend who works for Pioneer and so discounts were available if I chose Pioneer, however this is definitely not the only reason I chose Pioneer. In my opinion they are probably the best ICE producers out there. They have a good variety of 6x9s to choose from with varying power levels, but I chose the YSE-6996s because they were brand new, top of the range, extremely good quality, yellow, made from Kevlar and had the ability to go very, very, very, very loud. Advantages: High playback quality, easy to use and available in black!
Disadvantages: Occasional SCART problems on startup, no "display off" option, sometimes too good!

...splitter alongside a video recorder or some other device, sometimes the picture comes up garbled when you switch it on. I don't know whether this is a fault of the TV, or of the thing it's plugged along inside, but it's worth mentioning. I've have more SCART troubles than I've had hot dinners, so if you've got a problem, give me a shout and I might be able to fix it for you! Having mentioned that, it's worthwhile mentioning a good "geek point" about this player - if you use a learning remote control, you'll be pleased to know that I've not had any problems with the Pioneer's remote control. Some devices (Marantz and Grundig, in general) will cause problems with learning remotes. Not so the Pioneer with my E-pilot and Sony RM-AV3000 - everything works wonderfully. Advantages: Mindblowing sound, Explosive picture and feature packed - at a great price. Buy it.
Disadvantages: Nothing significant at this price
