Advantages: Great sounding, deep rich bass. Disadvantages: Needs time to set up correctly.

Performance
This will vary greatly depending which amp you will use to drive this speaker. As a rule i would suggest you use a good quality amp rated 200 watts and above. However i am only using a 150 watt amp to drive this sub and i am very happy with the results. It performs well with all types of music from pop to rock and is very detailed with male and female vocals as well. Bass is tight and punchy, and even as you increase the volume the sound is clean and undistorted. I was quite surprised with how this handled at high volumes. Overall a great sounding sub for the price.
To finish i would suggest buying the best amp that you can afford, something like kicker or audiobahn. These can be bought for around £150. Use good quality speaker and power cables, which can be bought as a kit. Take time to set up your levels on the amp and sub controls on the head unit. Finally the sub woofer can be bought for an amazing £30 from www.f1soundgallery.co.uk, but also check google for this sub along with any other accessories you may need.
Advantages: Made by Pioneer, great looks, cheap price Disadvantages: the bass might not be to everyones taste
...by then this 12" (30cm) pioneer sub speaker should be able to rattle my insides very well. I picked this sub up on ebay for about £40 including postage which is about half the RRP for this speaker.
The package comes with 8 long screws for fitting to the sub box that you intend to use and some sort of foam with double sided tape on one side to stick it to the bottom of the speaker, which i guess is there to help seal it against the box.
As my muisc ... ...Paul at times this sub seems to be comfortable at handling all sorts of music Size wise this sub will need a decent sized box to get the best out of it, there are custom made boxes for this that would fit in the boot of my car using all the dead space over the wheel arch and still leave loads of room but i'm not going to fork out the £197 for it. ...
