My parents have bought the system, and have a technological knowledge of zero, therefore they find the use of the remote control a little confusing, but after set-up and a good read of the manual, its relatively easy to get to grips with

I have owned this A/V receiver for last 2 years and never had a single problem. Prior to this amp i had experianced various cheaper amps but none could come close to the sound this baby produces.Ok it only puts out 100watts per channel but this is more than most rooms can handle unless you live in a night club. It also has 7 speaker outputs where you can use it for DTS.ES or Dolby digital 5.1EX alternatively you can use the surround back channels to bi/amp the front left and right channels not that you will need to.The remote is a work of art to allowing you to use it for all your other appliances ie, cd player , tape deck, TV, DVD player, it works everything i have tried. It even has USB input for other devices.The amp does weigh just under 20kg so take care on glass shelves etc.The spec is available on various web sites so i will spare ...

of electroc things-pioneer.the size of this amplifier 209R is good,it is 420mm in width which is easy to fit in most draws.
even though it is very good,there are bad things about it like the controller being very weak.also because of the amount of voltage coming from the amp it can blow speaker which is a big disadvantage,i gues people just have to get the right ones. ...

Advantages: 5 separate source inputs, easy to set-up, superb sound. Disadvantages: Weighs a lot (16kg!), quite big.
With over 10 years of faithful service, it was with great reluctance that I decided to replace my JVC all in one stereo system.
There were several reasons for this, firstly it did not have all of the required inputs for the additional pieces of audio visual hi-fi kit that I now have (Freeview receiver, DVD player, Media Player, CD changer, etc). Secondly the speakers were getting on a bit and were not surround sound and with movies now coming with at least 5.1 surround sound, I felt it was necessary to be able to listen to them like this!
To replace my JVC system I would need two components; an AV amplifier (the Pioneer VSX-AX3) and a set of speakers (see my review of the Mordaunt-Short Genie). Before I settled on these components I did a lot of research on the web to find out what the current trends are and what the reviewers ...
