Pippa Funnell: Ranch Rescue (Wii)

Advantages: Fun for everyone. Easy, intuitive controls. Good Graphics :P
Disadvantages: Internet setup complicated. No DVD playback.

...are planning on releasing a PS2 EyeToy-style camera to do that very thing. Don't quote me on that but if it's true, we'll definitely be looking into getting one of those. At Christmas, we decided to expand our games collection a little and we've all got our favourites. When my daughter isn't winning the WWE Championship, she's building entire towns in Sims. The missus is now an International Three-Day Event Champion on Pippa Funnels Ranch Rescue and when I'm not snowboarding down a mountain, I'm a guitar rock-god in Guitar Hero 3 or scuba-diving in the South Pacific in Endless Ocean (a perfect game to unwind to after a hard day at work). And of course, we all still play on the Wii Sports game which has to be the greatest free-game in the history of free-gaminess. Great fun. And that's where we're up to so far. ...Another great addition to the Zelda collection and this one is great fun on the Wii with how you use the controllers to play the game. The game starts with you being Link who is living and working as a ranch hand in Ordon Village. There is a group of little girls and when monsters suddenly attack the village and kidnap the kids along with his close friend Ilia, Link decides to go on a mission to rescue them. As you are pursueing the monsters you are dragged into another world, covered in darkness, and you have been changed into a wolf by the twilight powers. You are then dragged away by a monster before you awake... When you awake you are imprisoned in Hyrule Castle but you are met by an imp-like creature named Midna who helps Link to escape from his cell and guides him to another prisoners, Princess Zelda. Advantages: Easy to get the hang of and fun to play

...Really enjoyable game, recommended to horse lovers. Along the same lines as the second Pippa Funnell PC game you have to complete several weeks of training with a competition at the end of each week. There are also tasks to carry out, both ridden and around the acadamy in order to progress. Each week you will be expected to care for your horse, practise dressage, showjumping and cross-country, go for hacks, talk to course-mates and read in the library. The gameplay is good and not repetitive and although it is not a complex game, there are a few tricky bits and the game will take you some time to complete. Failure to meet standards results in retaking a game week of training rather than losing the game. Once you have completed the game there is little to keep you playing.
