two earlierPiratesfilms, yet far darker in spots (and nearly three hours to boot). The action, largely revolving around a pirate alliance against the ruthless East India Trading Company, doesn't disappoint, though the violence is probably too harsh for young children. Through it all, the plucky cast (Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush) are buffeted by battle, maelstroms, betrayal, treachery, a ferocious Caribbean weather goddess, and that gnarly voyage back from the world's end--but with their wit intact. As always, Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow tosses off great lines; he chastises "a woman scorned, like which hell hath no fury than!" He insults an opponent with a string of epithets, ending in "yeasty codpiece."In the previousThe Curse of the Black Pearl, Sparrow was killed--sent to Davy Jones' Locker. In the opening scenes, the viewer sees that death has not been kind to Sparrow--but that's not to say he hasn't found endless ways to amuse himself, cavorting with dozens of hallucinated versions of himself on the deck of the Black Pearl. But Sparrow is needed in this world, so a daring rescue brings him back. Keith Richards' much ballyhooed appearance as Jack's dad is little more than a cameo, though he does play a wistful guitar. But the action, as always, is more than satisfying, held together by Depp, who, outsmarting the far-better-armed British yet again, causes a bewigged commander to muse: "Do you think he plans it all out, or just makes it up as he goes along?" As far as fans are concerned, it matters not.--A.T. Hurley

Advantages: Lots of fighting and extras Disadvantages: Was rushed and this shows in places
This game had potential, but unfortunately it was clearly rushed. However it still remains a good and worthy game.
First off its pretty confusing plot wise as it is a mixture of the 2nd and 3rd movies. But this isnt a very importanct factor. There are quite a few levels (12 i think) and each one is different and interesting. My favorite levels are when you are at port and on the land, here there is more to explore and it is generally more ... ...the last ( Maelstrom) which is hard and almost completely down to luck ( weather a tornado hits you or not) .
Throughout the game you play as jack, elizabeth, will and barbosa. As the game progresses you learn more combo attacks. There is a lot of fighting in this game, which is fun but can get a bit tedious and sometimes frustrating. In the end you will probably just ens up swishing your remote madly until all the enemies are dead.

There are quite a few levels (12 i think) and each one is different and interesting. My favorite levels are when you are at port and on the land, here there is more to explore and it is generally more interesting in my opinion. The levels are failry easy except the last ( Maelstrom) which is hard and almost completely down to luck ( weather a tornado hits you or not) . Another good feature is that different enemies have different health and ways of attacking. You can fight with your sword or use the extra weapons you may pick up. They are a gun, throwing knives and a bomb. This was a good idea, but again could have been extended. Your enemies may alos have and use these extra weapons. You can also use your nunchuck to grab enemies making it easier to hit them, this also looks cool. When duelling a specific character look for the c symbol to show and guess what , you can use hwats around you to hurt the enemy. This is a great idea and looks cool. During gameplay it may change to a jackanism. Here you must follow specific instructions to move on. This is really effective and looks good, however sometimes it is unresponsive to your movement and it can get annoying.A silly feature is how you gain life. You pick up a roast chickens that you can use to gain back life.
There are also sub missions within missions to keep you entertained. This is good as even when you finish the game you may still have these sub missions to complete. They include Crab Pendants, Pirate Dice, Destroy Targets, and the Gold Idol, there are also sub-missions where you help fellow pirates. To do these simply talk to people with exclamation marks over their heads. By far the most enjoyable mini-games are the pirate dice and card games. The card game is my favorite which is just poker, by completeing jackinisms you can collect cards that will help you play the card game. they let you see other players cards etc.
The graphics on this game are really good in some areas but simply terrible elsewhere. For example the sea graphics are abismal but the characters look really good( even if they dont look entirely like the characters from the movie). The direction arrow gets annoying, not having it would be much better, leaving you to explore more. The screenshots are good the first time you watch them but you cnat skip them and that gets really really annoying , especially if you stop playing before a level and when you play again you have to watch it all over again.
After completeing the first level in story mode you unlock a challenging mode. Here you can play multiplayer or single. there is loot challenge, where you have to collect a certain amount of loot in a time limit. Combat mode - killing a specific number of enemies in a time limit. Combo mode- do certain amoutn of combo\'s in time limit. Theres are good and enjoyable and ensure that you will continue playing the game after you have finished the story mode.
Finally there is treasure cove where you can see what you have and havent unlocked and what you need to do to unlock things. The box looks good and the instructions are easy to follow ( if you even need them).
Overall this is a pretty good game, probably better for younger people but i enjoyed it so really its ok for older people too. It can get a bit tedious and at some times it feels like the same fight sequences but with different skins and characters etc. But there really is so much fighting so if sword fightiing is what you like to do, get this game. It utilises the wii remote very well. i would suggest getting this game when the price lowers a little. It is better than people make it out to be.

Review of Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End (Wii)
Advantages: you can play as jack sparrow Disadvantages: bad graphics/gameplay
This game Does a very poor job of living up to what was a pretty decent film. The gameplay is repetetive and all to easy to become bored with, action sequences don't really begin to aproach the epic spectacles I remember from the cinema and the graphics are no where near the next gen levels set by other consoles. Unfortunately for me this game like a lot of other movie game titles these days seems to be cobbled together to chuck out just before cinema ... ...money without any effort on the part of the software developers.
It could have been so good, a pirate game with a wiimote and one of the most likeable characters to come at us with a sword from disney ever. One thing the game does quite a good job at is capturing some of the comedy from the film series and creating a world which at least has the same feel as the caribbean that you'll see in the cinema. Plot:

Advantages: interesting story, fairly simple controls, good use of wii remote and nunchuck Disadvantages: average graphics, weak difficulty level, slightly repetitive
Pirates of the Caribbean - At Worlds End on the Nintendo Wii is one of the better games i have had the experiance of playing.
Firstly, the storyline contains elements of the 2nd and 3rd films (Dead mans chest and At worlds end) which inter-twine with a new plot for the game which would keep even the most avid of 'Pirates' fan interested.
Secondly, the controls are fairly simple which makes the game more accessible to the inexperianced gamer, but ... ...The graphics could be better but are more than good enough considering the amount of storyline put into the game. The gameplay itself can become repetitive as there are quite a few cut scenes that the player is just left to watch and can act as a distraction when trying to get involved in the game.
The game becomes more enjoyable with parts of the game being played by Jack Sparrow as well as Will Turner and can easily be enjoyed, even by someone ...

Advantages: Fantastic game play, play as different characters, easy plot, easy to use controls Disadvantages: The first levels are over too quick
I played this game at my uncle's and it was amazing. The graphics surprised me as they were not too bad, i expected them to be poor due to the technology involved in the games console so some comprimises have to be made, i did not find this with this game. There is a lot to explore and plenty of fighting as you would expect from a game such as this. The plot is not too hard to follow as the movie scenes between levels help explain where the game ... ...extras to find and plenty of side tasks to keep yourself amused for hours. The controls are very easy to use and do not take much getting used too. You get to play as several different characters and can unlock two player battle areas to challenge your friends, making this a game you will never get bored of. ...

Advantages: Really easy to play, fantastic sound, real live feel to the game Disadvantages: some of the graphics could have been better
'''Pirates of The Caribean III'''
Fantastic game for the Wii. Played it till i could hardly move when we first got it.
We had seen the movie and thought the game would be a good choice for the family. The boys played it well but my daughter found it a bit frightening.
The sound is perhaps the best part. with the volume up it really makes you feel you are taking part in the movie.
Some of the realism is lacking on a few of the parts as the background ...
